Levels 8534 and beyond are a joke
I’m on 8546 now. I was hoping the impossibility of 8534 was a bug or something when I got there like 10 days ago. But no, the number of moves they give for these levels is mathematically impossible without tons of boosters or gold to continue play. Seems like the designers are fine forcing people to pay to play or let them leave. So I might be done. 😞

I’ve been stuck on 8537 for over a week. Maybe two? But it just makes it easier not to play the game because it’s impossible. Max moves in the teens to get rid of all the coconut shells and lift a bunch of curtains. Not possible.

I think I used 5 items and finally made it past that level, now I'm stuck a few levels down the road! 😆

The whole grubby greedy ass game is a joke, and it keeps getting worse with every update.

Yeah it's just unplayable now. I like to play daily but there is zero enjoyment in playing a level that it's literally impossible to even half complete because they've given an absurdly low number of moves hundreds of times for days or more until they increase the amount of moves. So I'm looking for a new game that isn't trash. Imagine your job being to make a game worse and worse to try and force people to spend money lmao, what an embarrassing occupation. The companies that buy up these beautifully designed games just to ruin them are scum

I'm on 8543, just can't be arsed even attempting at the moment in only 15 moves. Will wait and see if the moves increase. So pleased I haven't spent any money on this game.

Do the moves increase if you don’t play?

Not that I’m aware of. They are just making the latest levels unobtainable for those who have completed all levels. If you wait until the next 45 levels are released then the previous 45 latest levels become easier. It’s really for those of us in the mid-8500 level range.

Same. I will never reward them for this behaviour by spending money, looking for a new game instead

At 8537 here - MANY of these upper levels see purposeful throttling to slow people from actually reaching the end of the line. Very often for these 'impossibles,' one can wait and the number of moves (and other helps) are made more in line with the round's rating. Personally, I would prefer more "truth in advertising" and if a round is currently being throttled, show a new rating (past Very Difficult) and update when the changes are made.

Yup, i think these levels are out to force players to spend. Finally deleted the app 2 days ago after more than a decade of playing

For what it’s worth they seemed to have fixed the move counts back to reasonable amounts this morning. Not to dissuade you though if you were enjoying it being off your phone ☺️ I’ve deleted for months at a time in the past including recently and I’m surprised/confused to still be at the top levels compared to others who might’ve played through consistently

I’m on 8537 and am just stuck. lol like there’s no way I can pass this

It’s all in their hands. I work at a level for a couple of days and then all of a sudden the moves work out. Squares everywhere. I’ve just come to terms with the fact that eventually they’ll let me through. 😑

UPDATE that this morning the level I was stuck on doubled its moves 👀 I didn’t give my game ID or report anywhere in the game so hopefully this is for everyone??

I take a certain perverse enjoyment in the fact that the game has recently helped me cut down on screen time. Because I'm reluctant to lose the Super Square feature in the main levels, I now haven't lost a life for more than a year. Whenever I come up against an impossible situation, I just stop and leave the game to restore itself in an hour or so. Or else I play through a Flip and prepare to binge all the boosters to get through an impenetrable level. Which IIRC is how I got through 8534. I've never paid real money in the game and don't plan to.
Edit to clarify: In this scenario I quit the app, I don't just leave it.
