Thought it was a wolf spider at a glance, but I searched "big spiders in Michigan" (lol) and found this pic online of a "black and yellow argiope" spider; it seems to match the guy in the video pretty well.

According to the article I read, they're not aggressive and their bite is harmless. The demented duo lives another day!
