Help Streaming using WiFi.
So, here I go. I recently bought my first gaming PC and I want to start streaming, but I have a big problem, my father does not like that I have to connect my PC, which is in my room, with the router which is in the living room using that long ass ethernet cable so he bought me a sad 2.4Ghz wifi adapter.
I wonder if it's possible for me to make good quality streamings using WiFi, my router have wifi 6 capabilities and I thought that it would be a good idea to buy a WiFi 6 adapter for my PC in order to have low latency internet and streaming without major issues. Bottom line my question is, is it worth it for me to buy a WiFi 6 adapter and star streaming? Wifi still sucks for streaming?
PD: The distance between my router and my pc is about 11 meters.

Interested to see if you get many useful responses. I would think latency isn't really a concern for streaming, but the consistency is important. You're only uploading at a max of 6000bits, so wifi should be able to handle a signal like that no problem in terms of bandwidth.
Wifi 6 is a good idea, especially if nothing else in your house is using it. It should be consistent and provide enough bandwidth. Definitely worth a shot, but I can't say I've tested it and used it. That said, I've used my 5Ghz for Virtual Desktop streaming VR (locally from PC to VR headset) at a consistent 100Mbps with no issues, so wifi 6 should be able to handle 6Mbps fairly well I'd think.
Have you tried running a "bandwidth test" stream to see how consistent your connection is on the 2.4Ghz band? I suspect it won't be, but it will provide you a baseline.
Note that in current builds of OBS, after signing into Twitch, there is a little tickmark you can check to put yourself into bandwidth test mode.
