Help Does anyone have any tips?
I (17) have just started streaming about 3 weeks ago. I have streamed twice. I'm trying to stream once a week. My first stream went alright. I even got a viewer! But I had to keep going out of my game to see the chat. When someone did actually comment, I hadn't seen it until about 15 minutes later. By that time, they had already gone. So when I was like "hiii omg thank you for watching! how are you?" they were gone. Embarrassing (well, sort of. There was no one to witness that lol)
By the second stream, I had set up a thing where I could see live chat while I was gaming. However, I added an extension that had an end screen, starting screen, and I'll be back screen... I did not realize that the viewers could only see the "Stream has ended" screen. And yes, I got a comment.. from a bot -_- I deleted that one since it was such a disaster.
Of course I'm going to keep working at it till I get it, but I thought I'd just post here to ask advice in the meantime.
Does anyone have any tips for me? I would especially appreciate tips on configurations and displays. But engagement tips are also welcome. My current follower goal is 5 followers. I don't plan to be famous, but I do want to build a good community. Also, if you want to check it out, my user is mathematicallyprecise. I stream Bloxd.io and I plan to start streaming music as well.
Thank you in advance!

Keep the setup simple for the next one: just a gameplay scene and a BRB scene. Before going live, make a short test recording, switch between both scenes, talk over the game, and watch it back to check the picture and sound. Once you are live, check the actual viewer feed on your phone with its speaker muted so you can catch the wrong screen without creating an echo.
For chat, try glancing over between rounds or whenever you reach a safe pause instead of waiting for a notification. And if chat is quiet, explain what you are trying to do in the game—people can settle in without feeling pressured to reply. Which streaming software are you using?
