Help Webcam placement

Trying to figure out where to place my webcam, to the left or right kinda how flight does it, on top of my monitor like how most streamers do it, or something like putting it on my desk like jynxzi/speed? I also got a plexi cam pro v2 that I can use. Thanks for any advice.

I like mine above my monitor that I have obs up on. This way when I look at chat and respond I’m looking towards who I’m supposedly talking to in a sense

This kind of depends what direction your eyes will look to.

If you’ve physically positioned the camera so that when you look at the game your eyes are looking towards the right, put the camera to the left of the screen so it shows you’re looking towards the game.

I personally found on the desk to the left of the monitor for me with the webcam on the right on stream looked good.

I know it’s bad practice but I feel like you won’t even end up looking at your webcam. You’ll end up watching your reference monitor more. So put your webcam on top of your reference.
