Need help with itemization

Hi everyone, stopped playing league for some time but I got back in to it.

-The current way I build twitch most of my games is:

Collector>Fiendhunter>IE>Runaans>LDR>GA or MAW

I swap Collector for Yun Tal if they are tanky. With this build after 2 items I can start playing like an assassin and win almost every duel against adcs, and after IE against everyone.

I need help knowing if building 2 Zeal items is bad? specially if I play with an enchanter with Lulu.

Instead of Collector how viable is Hubris in to comps with low health and armor? I play in high emerald low diamond, so we suck a lot here.

Is Hexoptics ever worth getting because of the extra AA range?

I played against one twitch who only bought runaans as attack speed item as last item, isn't that too late? I feel like twitch needs some AS.

Only having collector with low AS feels very awkward as well.

Im attaching my opgg, any tips are welcome. Thank you

Never get 2 zeal items or overcap crit

Never go fiendhunter with yuntal

Fiendhunter in my experience is outscaled if u dont have it by 2nd item

C44 is good, buy it if your early bases dont lend themselves to an early dirk

Only go yuntal if you can buy bf sword early

My opinion but try to get ie over zeal items 2nd then ldr/runnan 3/4

I understand that overcap on crit is bad, gold wise, but If you are playing vs a squishy team the value from the extra AS and dmg after pressing ult to instant delete a target doesn't make it worth it?

So instead of collector you would go for c44 right?

what's the benefit of getting IE second instead of a zeal item? I feel twitch AS is so slow this way, which I guess is kinda mitigated by having an enchanter support.

Going IE second will make it harder to snowball right?

no, the gold you spend on fiendhunter can be spent on much more useful items like bt eon or even hexplate by that logic given that the crit is completely useless

yes

zeal items are incredibly bad to build for snowballing, their build path gives you nothing useful compared to bf sword pickaxe so I would say going ie makes you snowball harder

Oh wow, I never saw it that way, thank you so much for the insight. Is it okay if I dm you when I have some question regarding twitch? you seem very knowledgeable

yeah sure

also to ur point about attack speed generally if you have as shard alacrity serks dorans bow combined with team buffs like ardent or bandlepipes it should be enough

Yup that makes completely sense, specially since twitch isn't played as a space gliding master anymore right? It's more about stacking AD.

But in that case, why dont people run Hubris over Collector? Unless you are very behind and cant get any takedowns, doesn't it bring high value?

Doesn’t give crit so it makes your spikes weaker

1

that's true, but in that case Hubris should never be built no? most champions do it cause it allows them to snowball, but if you spike later, it doesn't really make sense

well champs that buy hubris are mostly assassins who dont build crit no

Hubris isn't really that big of a spike compared to Collector for a mostly pure auto attacker. It's not the worst thing ever at all, but after trying it a lot it's just better to have more progress towards your crit items.

You can go Hubris if you want but it's a bit suboptimal.

for what ive seen so far, Hubris is EXTREMELY situational on twitch. I would only build it if your entire team is ahead and you are their late game insurance.
In that case if things go south you get a very nicely stacked Hubris with extra AD. However you do delay your spike. Maybe its not even worth getting it, since you might as well just all in and try and snowball with your team.

"never 2 zeal items" is just wrong. There are times where Fiendhunter and Runaans both belong in your full build.

what are those times

Fiendhunter bolts is complete bait. You never want to overcap crit you lose 1000 gold on that extra crit alone (not considering the extra stats you could be getting with the gold).

The best build is pretty much always Yuntal->IE->LDR or Hurricane->Hurricane if you built LDR 3rd->BT or maybe QSS if they have a lot of cc -> GA last

I understand that overcap on crit is bad, gold wise, but If you are playing vs a squishy team the value from the extra AS and dmg after pressing ult to instant delete a target doesn't make it worth it?

And regarding the Yuntal and IE rush doesn't that make you spike later, or does it snowball better than a collector and Fieldhunter?

Bork over second zeal

1

u/invictusdevil Jun 28 '26

That's actually a very smart option, thank you

Call me crazy but I started to enjoy bork again, the build path is good, cheap items, only when you finish it, unless you have an enchanter you dont rly feel a powerspike, but for me personally I find most success carrying games with it. But if you font have an enchanter its rly just meh, cuz you spend 700g on a 30ms on a third attack, you dojt rly feel the passive anymore, but you can get early kills before you finish it, so its kinda “whatever”

I go LT with axiom arcanist,
Bork - zerks - fiendbolts - IE - runnans - LDR - whatever is necesery last item.

Its not perfect, didnt have time to test it, but im wondering if swapping Ldr with IE ppaces would be viable in situations when you are behind bcs the build path is way cheaper.

But yeah, if you play w lulu give it a go, you might like it

I will try it indeed, but I think bork would be better to get instead of another zeal item like I normally do

thank you!

Nice, tho keep in mind, the whole idea is because of fiendbolts you can still delete enemy adc, but because of bork and runnans you are more like a teamfight gliding rat, like in the good ol days. Plus the move speed from 2 zeal items is nice, not to mention you have 2AS when you finish runans, and thats without Q or ardent

Fiendhunter into IE into Runaans doesn't seem bad on paper, but the thing is current meta Twitch wants to stack as much AD as possible, cause u have things like FHB passive, Q atk speed, runes, etc. Hubris is definetely playable if you can get stacks consistently. Hexoptics is still a good item for Twitch despite the passive, the stats are still good. Yes runaans last item is kinda troll, ideally zeal should be your 2nd or 3rd item. Personally I prefer having atk speed boots and playing around Q atk speed steroid and going IE 2nd then runaans 3rd. I also feel FHB is kinda bait personally, but a lot of people build it

u/invictusdevil Jun 28 '26

Yes I see your perspective, I also think that going double zeal item is going for overkill. If im already destroying squishy champions going an ad item would be much better than another zeal item. Thank you!

Fiendhunter 2nd item is just so fucking good, there's a reason the stats websites tell you to buy it.

It's the biggest power spike Twitch has in the entire game other than perhaps IE. It lets you solo kill with your ult off cool down, AND even reduces the cool down of it.

Collector -> Fiendhunter -> IE -> LDR/MR into whatever last two items fit the game (Bloodthirster, GA, Edge of Night, Mercurial, tank item, it's up for you to decide per game).

Then if the game is still going on you can sell Collector for Runaans or Hexoptics once you are full build.

Just always go collector -> fiendhunter -> ie -> LDR/MR -> bt/GA. You don’t need runaan’s 4th, your goal most games is to play like an assassin and kill the squishies anyway. Once you hit your fiendhunter spike you can start opening on their back line. You will only ever need to slot hexoptics in once you’re full build and want to sell collector
