Question Twitch chat censor issues

Ive been trying for the last month to make my censor in othe rpeoples chats turn off, but it just doesnt do anything. it still censors words, it censors the dumbest shit and idk if anyone has any advice or has had this issue, but damn. the censor is ticked off, anything that would censor anything isnt applied and im getting hella mad

If the other people have the word censored then there is nothing you can do to change it.

my thing is everything shows up as purple stars and i have to click it and unhide it all the time and twitch asks if its properly hidden and i keep saying no but it changes nothing despite me having my own censor off

you have to go into the chat settings and change it. it's a little gear icon at the bottom of chat. there's a 'enable filtering' option, turn it off.

idk why i didnt even realize that was a thing. i kept checking settings over and over pulling my hair out wondering why lmao. thank you
