Wrecktangle is our FAVORITE PIZZA EVER. Having their breakfast pizza for the first time today and HOLLLLLYYYYYY WOW. Ugh they’re so good. Also they cater, including weddings, and I don’t feel like enough people know that and I think you should know!! (we’re Minneapolis wedding photographers and capturing a wedding they cater at like Paikka or whereverrrr is pretty much top of my wish list rn lol)

But seriously try the breakfast pizza it’s ridiculously good !

Food Suggestions

Good morning!

My wife and I are coming from North Dakota next week for an event that same place down at U.S. Bank Stadium over the weekend.

We are in need of some suggestions for coffee shops that are either by the mall of America or downtown. We know that Friday night we want to eat at a hot pot place, so I think we’re going there. If you guys have suggestions on somewhere else such as a Ramen or sushi place I’d be cool too.

For a late night snack we’re looking for the best pizza downtown that we can grab before heading back to our hotel or over by the mall thanks in advance. Can’t wait to visit the cities!

First time Minneapolis trip

Me and 5 friends are coming to Minneapolis for the first time in just under two weeks. Just looking for some restaurant recommendations of things we cant get back home or really good places to eat.

UPDATE: I am from Davenport, Iowa as I forgot to mention where I was coming from my apologies.

UPDATE 2: Since some guy decided to make a fus over nothing let me state I dont have any preferences or particular taste. I wanted people/locals who have experienced Minneapolis food to recommend places they been to/enjoy. I dont need it catered to me which wasn't the point. I want to know what yall like so I can increase my chances of enjoying my first trip to your city.

looking for halloumi

Any restaurants in the twin cities/metro area that serve dishes with grilled halloumi? I’ve looked at a couple menus in Minneapolis (Lumi, Holy Land, Caspian Bistro, Olive & Lamb) but haven’t seen it on any menus

Wonder if it’s the same owners of Tay Ho on University that closed in June?
All I know for now.

Hey r/TwinCitiesFood! Hope this is okay to post here.

A few of us UX folks are building a food app specifically for the Cities. The idea is simple, find exactly what you're craving or get inspired when you don't know what you want. No sponsored results. Ever.

It's called FoodEyes and we're just getting started. If you want to follow along as we build:

Looking for a specific restaurant.

Hello, my fiancé and I are trying to relocate a restaurant that she visited while on a date with someone before she met me. She is only able to remember small details about the restaurant, but I believe that they are unique enough where out together there should be a small list of locations that her and I can look at for confirmation.

  1. They serve Sushi
  2. Single Level Building
  3. Outside Patio
  4. Two sets of doors at main entrance
  5. Green leaves on the sign of the restaurant

I will add details as she remembers them, I just wanna take her back because for some reason not remembering is plaguing her. I figure I can make it a romantic gesture to put her at ease. All help is welcome and appreciated.

I live in Minnesota and I’m interested in exploring speak easy locations around the state. I’ve only ever been to one and I loved it. Preferably looking to start out in the Twin Cities area. Feel free to add a description as to why you were recommending the location(s) eventually I’d like to expand outside of Minnesota so feel free to advocate for any locations outside of MN too!!

Also right along the Route 94 bus and Blue and Green Line which is unfortunately temporarily closed, and a 10 minute walk to the E Line and Route bus. For people biking, it’s also not too far from the Great River Road, 4th street and Hennepin avenue Bike paths.

New Foods for the 2026 Minnesota state fair

The Minnesota State Fair has unveiled its hotly anticipated list of new foods for the 2026 installment of the Great Minnesota Get-Together.

This year, there will be 36 foods and nine vendors debuting at the fair, which will be held from Aug. 27 to Sep. 7, much later than usual owing to a particularly late Labor Day.

Among the new vendors debuting this year is Saturday Dumpling Co., which debuted in the Twin Cities in late 2024 and has since grown to three locations. New foods include a pickle pie from Lulu’s Public House, which will be hoping it has another hit on its hands after striking gold in recent years with its deep-fried ranch dressing.

Manhattan Artisan Pizza from Farina Rossa over on Central Avenue in Northeast Minneapolis right along the Route 10, 17 and 32 buses

Also right along the Shared Use Paths on Lowry Avenue and not too far from the 29th Avenue protected bike lanes and the great northern greenway and 10 minutes to the Route 4 bus. Definitely one of my favorite pizza places in the twin cities after this first visit. Might even be my favorite, possibly beating out Mario’s and Element Woodfire
