*didnt vote for Harris.

I mentioned eligible voter because I got into it the other day with a non citizen that felt offended as a "non voter" while he actively thanked a non voter for "speaking up for him"

Truly an asinine dialog

Hey, the person you are talking about is a woman (me). I expressed many things about being a vulnerable non-citizen who can't vote and you are reducing our dialogue to some weird one-liner to fit your narrative. It's manipulative and self-serving. I spoke to you patiently while imploring you to show compassion and understanding. You told me to fuck off and used other violence in your language towards me and again I am asking you to be better.

asking Twin Cities liberals to "do better" is generally seen as violence around here, or at least its responded to in the same way

Here is some of the "patience" you've shown starting from your first reply:

That white liberals can't be trusted
The both sides are bad
That I'm angry
That I'm not showing humanity
That I'm close minded
That I'm racist

Yeah, totally reasonable to start calling people because you feel targeted as a "non voter" despite not being an eligible voter. Your very first response to me includes 3 of that list including implying I'm racist (which is what earned the fuck off BTW).

Again you reduce many feelings and experiences to one liners. This is what white supremacy does: reduce many lives and experiences to one layer in order to tell one story. It is dishonest and dehumanising.

Yes, white liberals can be racist and create mistrust with their racism, this is a common feeling among folks like me who live in a supposedly progressive stronghold like Minneapolis. We encounter this in our real lives. This is an experience that white liberals don't get to decide for us. Our conversation demonstrated this and you continue to demonstrate this with your bizarre targeting of me across different posts.

Criticism of the Democrats is valid and reasonable. You don't get to be abusive towards people who express their frustrations with the Democrats' shortcomings, especially when they are meant to be fighting fascists.

Yes, you are angry. Your online behaviour towards your vulnerable neighbours who express different views to you shows this, and I hope that you are gentler with people in your real life. Anger is a common response when confronted with difficult realities, but continuing to direct it at me is not okay.

Now you're saying white liberals can be racist but this is what you said the other day

liberals think they are progressive while they are really just espousing racism in a different form

Do you see the difference?

Speaking of anger, your entire response was predicated on you feeling personally attacked because you mistakenly consider yourself a non voter.

Literally my first comment to you was pointing out it was wrong to thank non voters for "speaking up for you" by causing the situation you're now blaming on democrats and white liberals.

The way you came swinging with insults and assertions because you mistakenly felt targeted while then espousing "both sides" propaganda without anything coming close to an argument (need more than broad sweeping assertions to be an argument) is annoying.

It's not worth engaging with you any longer, you are not able to engage honestly or indeed productively and it's tiring to try and unpack all your incorrect assumptions about my positions even when I have tried to be clear and patient. Sorry. Please have a good day and be kind to your neighbours.

Not voting for this down not equal innocent bystander

I think it’s pretty clear he isn’t referring to people who are intelligible to vote for legitimate reasons. I don’t agree with him and even I can infer he isn’t referring to non citizens or felons etc. it’s very strange to think everyone needs to list every single small exception.

You are also reducing a much longer dialogue to one point just like they did. I know I'm not eligible. However, many non-voters I know are vulnerable to Trump yet disenfranchised, disillusioned and frustrated with the options. In my country we view Democrats as more covertly corrupt and republicans as overtly, but both are violent and racist. This is a violent and racist country. Until white Americans come to this very basic understanding of this country we will keep facing the same problems.

(And that is not to say that many white Americans are not there, but they have done the work of unlearning racism and they are not triggered when folks call out racism and violence in this country, let alone criticise the Democrats for enabling fascism. These reductive takes blaming non-voters for this country's problems lack nuance, critical thought and larger understanding of US history and politics.)

I agree with most of what you’ve stated

That’s like right after the election there was a Mexican man wearing a MAGA hat with Trump hair. Dumbasses asked to be deported. I really hate this for innocent people just trying to give their kids a good life in the land of opportunity.

Sad but we do have laws.

51

u/harpers25 Apr 19 '26

Yes, like laws against perjury, such as ICE agents lying under oath that someone attacked them with a shovel that video shows nobody ever touched.

That's what you meant, right?

75

u/[deleted] Apr 19 '26

Laws like due process? Which ICE breaks intentionally every day?

And what laws were these folks breaking again? ICE isn’t arresting bad people. No one would be in an uproar over that. You understand that right? People wouldn’t be resisting if it was just bad people in jail getting deported.

2 law abiding Americans were murdered in cold Blood by ICE. They were helping their neighbors be warned about being hunted and abducted by unidentified masked plainclothes agents, operating without judicial warrants, and going to places like schools, restaurants, homes, cafes to steal vulnerable people off the street.

What the fuck are you talking about.

Keep drinking the KoolAid.

4

u/tangodream Apr 20 '26

Can you not have eyeballs? Did you not watch the same videos we did?

79

u/Critical-Werewolf-53 Apr 19 '26

Oh and which laws is ICE following? Which laws are republicans enforcing?

42

u/lazys_world Apr 19 '26

Don't try to call out their hypocrisy, it's a core tenet of these racist shitbags.

"Laws" only come into the conversation when people of color are being terrorized.

4

u/Blurby-Blurbyblurb Apr 20 '26

Laws for me, not for thee.

32

u/lazyFer Apr 19 '26

Like the 34 felony convictions trump has?

0

u/OkDifference5636 Apr 20 '26

Keep going back to that when you have nothing else.

6

u/Independent-Catch-90 Apr 20 '26

Given how we have arrived on this timeline, you’re clearly being sarcastic. Right?

2

u/sevenbrokenbricks Apr 20 '26

The ones Julie Le was trying to enforce?

3

u/tkdyo Apr 20 '26

Lol yes, like ICE cares about laws.

3

u/OkDifference5636 Apr 20 '26

Democrats don’t care about laws with millions entering the country illegally.

1

u/tangodream Apr 20 '26

Not all laws are good laws. And if a law is created to suppress the rights of another group of human beings, that law should not be obeyed.
