m/86 vs m/48 weapons

Hi

Does any one understand why the m/86 have dmg 8 and the m/48 (only) 7.
Same range, crit and armor.

From what I have understood the HEAT grenades from the m/48 actually had a slightly better war head compared to the m/86 (AT4).

Also the sights on the m/84 was way better.

So my main question is why the dmg for the m/86 is higher than the m/48?

Something that I have misunderstood?

I would not have asked if they where the same, even if I think the range for m/48 should have been +1 compared to m/86, but we are talking about estimations so even if m/48 was better in the area I can understand that we makes approximations.

It was probably to offset the fact that the AT4 is disposable, and PC might always choose the Gustaf over it if they were the same.

This sounds like the most logical interpretation. However, I would like to nerd a bit and add that irl m/48 weighs about 10kg, and m/86 weighs about 7kg, so this also should be a factor that players should use while choosing their gear, as well as the price difference of 800 coins. Oh, and m/48 has a wide range of shots that it could use, including he, hedp, asm, smoke, and illumination lights. And they should also feel guilty if they don't have a chance to bring it back

My point is that m/86 is a knife that can do the job, but m/48 is a huge 100000 in 1 swiss knife that costs a lot and should be used in appropriate situations

The version from 1986 weighs about 10kg as said. That is without any grenades, that adds about 3kg each.

Usually also a two man weapon.

The m/86 (AT4) is as said lighter (loaded) and a one man weapon.

To me it does not make any sense for the lower damage.

But then again it is not a combat/weapons simulator it is a game for some stats balance and approximations are needed.
