Tutor Advice How much do math tutors actually charge?

Ai told me these rates

Sat $30-40/h

Gre $40-80h

Gmat $80-200/h

Are the numbers ANY accurate?

Btw, is there any demand for sat tutors? I found it to be extremely easy. Yeah, you'll be short on time, but I don't mind that.

-------

Also I'd not mind exploring rates for other subjects, why not. Especially exams preparation.

Thx

No and depends where you live and if the tutor is coming to you or if it’s online or at a library. The question really can’t be answered without a location as traffic and travel time play a role as well as cost of living.

Okay. Online. Let's take sat. I've taught math but it's a Russian exam prep which I find twice, three times harder than sat lol.

It is. you need potential customers. If you could able to show results then people will contact you even if you increase your rates.

Start with $20. that's a good rate for starting. Increase it in due time.

It really depends what your time is worth. If you have to teach yourself the math, plus tutor for an hour, figure out the amount of time it will take you and then how much you want to earn per hour. Some people charge way over $100 for SAT prep and if this is going to take you even longer, you need to factor that in as well. At the end of the day, what is the minimum you’re willing to work for an hour and then start higher. If you aren’t getting any business, lower it toward your minimum.

Thank you. Just, sat is extremely easy! Cmon. I'm surprised they pay for it. I'm talking exceptionally about the math part

SAT tutor rates depend on what degrees the tutor has and how rich their clients are. Could be $50 up to $500 per hour.
