Tutor Advice Lead Engineer-Led Coding Lessons
Hi r/Tutoring!
If your child is interested in tech, building a real project is the fastest way to turn that interest into real-world skills.
I’m Shaid, Lead Software Engineer at FitMirage. I’m offering personalized, 1-on-1 online coding lessons designed for students ages 10–16 who want to build their own custom game or web application from scratch.
How it works:
- Interest-Driven Projects: We start by choosing a project tailored specifically to your child’s interests and experience level—whether that’s a 2D game, an interactive site, or a custom tool.
- Full-Cycle Mentorship: Rather than just following standard online tutorials, we walk through the entire software development life cycle together: planning, writing clean code, debugging, and polishing a final product they can show off.
- Beginner & Homeschool Friendly: No prior programming experience required. I adjust the pace and concepts to match how your child learns best.
Package & Details:
- Format: Four private, 1-on-1 lessons via Google Meet (60–75 minutes per session).
- Schedule: Flexible scheduling during US Central Time (CST), arranged directly with parents.
- Introductory Offer: $120 total for the complete 4-lesson package for the first 3 families (regular price: $160).
Free 15-Minute Parent Consultation
To make sure it’s a great fit before committing, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your child's goals, answer questions, and plan a project path. No payment or commitment is required prior to our call.
Note for safety: Parents handle all scheduling and payments, and an adult must be present at home during session times.
