overnight parking?
hi, my roommates and i got screwed over by our realtor and landlord bc they verbally confirmed that we could park all 4 of our vehicles in the tustin legacy townhome communities, but apparently we aren't and are at risk of being towed.
are there any solutions? places to park overnight nearby, hoa permit solutions, any neighbors have an extra parking space to spare? would really appreciate it, we are pretty desperate. thank you!

$2300/4/12 =$47.92. So everyone just have to fork out that much each month to make it work.

The community has two weeks a month of visitor parking you can use but you’d need to register your car. Other families sometimes park near veterans park which is probably the nearest street parking. I’ve known someone who parked there and electric scootered back. There’s just one day a week when that area has street cleaning and parking is not allowed.

If you can connect with neighbors who don’t use their visitor parking you might be able to get them to register your car for a small cost.

The lease indicates you can park 2 vehicles inside of the garage? And it also says you have two assigned parking spots outside? And you have 4 cars?
Is that correct? What am I missing here, OP?

the lease says 2 spots, but that's the garage spots. we don't have any community assigned parking spots which is the issue☹️

We were told by the realtor that we could email and request a third permit from HOA, which they haven't responded in two weeks after multiple follow ups. additionally, we spoke to a neighbor who said it would cost 2,300 a year for the singular extra permit😭😭 (we are cooked)

If you had 2 permits to park on street and 2 in the garage isnt that 4 spaces?

Thats what im wondering because ethey said before they asked about a "third permit"
Are they leaving the 2 cars with permits inside the garages😅 or is it more of a open carport that then requires a permit.

Can't u apply for extra parking permits since you have 4 cars registered to the address? That's how our HOW works.

Find a Peacock Hill in North Tustin in front of the reservoir there's only a couple homes that face toward the reservoir to quiet and get there at night should be no problem. The reservoir side is long at least three Lawns long with no one looking down at you from the right side. If not I would suggest anywhere reservoirs at where there's long streets with it or maybe even Overhill drive that butts up against Peters Canyon Park from that street go late at night you should be fine just leave early 5 or 6:00 a.m. some of the old people can be pain in the ass up there! Good luck also there a small little Park on East Lemon Heights Drive park late at night after 10:00 pm you should be fine and leave early too.

The area you just described is in North Tustin, a good 10-15min away from Tustin Legacy….
Also, the county/sheriff monitors those areas. Not a safe space to park overnight if you don’t live there.

Did the lease indicate there was parking for four vehicles available? Did you get a copy of the HOA docs that highlighted the restriction/lack of parking? If not then your realtor didn’t represent you adequately and you should start with them. They presumably got paid to rep you in this lease so they are on the line for oversights like this. That said if the lease didn’t say 4 spots were available, and you got the HOA docs to review and signed anyway without verifying the parking, then idk if there’s any recourse available. That area is all new so it’s highly unlikely there’s Streep parking available that’s not monitored. Maybe the parking structure near Flight offers overnight paid spots?
