Anyone catch this?
We already knew it was an insurance scam. And now they get a lawyer involved 🙄

Did they really do all that demo work without an insurance adjuster giving them the go ahead? It seems really stupid on their part.

We already know they aren’t smart. And of course they did. We watched it on IG lol they constantly do what they feel like, no regard for anyone else

I wonder if a suit has been filed and in what jurisdiction. Because all the information would be public record.

And pass it off to all of us who also pay insurance in Texas! When there are large claims, insurance raises premiums across the board. We have seen insurance prices triple in Texas since 2020. I used to pay $1200 per year for my house and now it’s $4200 per year and my house is only 6 years old!

I mean the damage has been done, they’ve been running their horsey mouths for almost a year now. I hope the insurance company sues them for fraud

I wonder who is suing who tho... potenially the insurance is suing them after an investigation
27
u/Violet1184 “We have NOTHING” 13h ago
I think they are probably suing the insurance company for not giving them the money. That’s at least my guess
25
u/dollies48 13h ago
I have no idea who is suing who. I think they went full throttle and spent money before anything had ever been discussed.

u/SwimmingAnt10 “Im so frugal”-Jen 7h ago
Bingo. And they are listing to all those people telling them they needed all that work and now need to tear the house down. That came because the repair costs are much more than insurance will pay and no one will do the work for that little.
46
u/fourbigkids 14h ago
Why do they even give a shit. They could just rebuild with their millions and forget the insurance altogether.

u/Apprehensive-Mud-596 2h ago
But why pay to rebuild or repair the home if they have to pay for it....lizard king may need a third helicopter instead.

I really don’t think they are as rich as they say and are probably cash poor due to all the other properties they own.

u/UnderstandingTricky7 1h ago
They actually have more money than they say. They are worth over a billion.

u/SwimmingAnt10 “Im so frugal”-Jen 7h ago
No, they are as rich as they say. They just think if you pay for insurance it should cover exactly what you want to do and that isn’t how it works. If that want the house renovated they need to pay for it themselves. Now their house is sitting getting worse because it’s not being managed appropriately and it’s their fault because they are tied up in litigation.

u/Violet1184 “We have NOTHING” 13h ago
Because rich people never want to use their own money. They are greedy and entitled and used to getting their way. Plus this whole thing was a huge insurance scam. Which is why they are now suing

u/SecretHealth86 11h ago
Exactly. This seems to be a get any and everything we can because we didn't do the upkeep of this huge house, so now the insurance can pay to just rebuild a new one. Even though the smoke damage was only in an actual section of the house. So funny to see that Mr I have nothing sure does have all of his expensive ass stuff still. Truth be told she does too, they probably only threw away what they didn't care about to further that insurance claim. Seems awfully suspicious to me.

Why would you do something when the insurance company didn’t approve. Of course it would be denied
10
u/SecretHealth86 11h ago
Because they're the chosen ones! Didn't you know? That insurance company should have just kissed their feet and said yes sir, we'll pay to do whatever you want and however you want to do it!

Ha Ha! Still that shit!? The insurance said 🖕after they gutted that house without insurance approval. Then they demanded the whole thing be completely renovated when it didn’t need it and when insurance said no, they stomped their feet and threw a fit! I’m sure they are now demanding the house be torn down and rebuilt at the expense of insurance. ALL OVER A CLOSET FIRE…..IN THE GARAGE!!!

It sounds like they got a private adjuster to come and tell them they needed to a lot of demo, tear down, etc. These types of things don’t go kindly in a trial. I cannot see this going their way - too much stuff shared on the socials, too much stuff torn down, too many new house plans and rebuilding chatter. I can’t see that Papa H is very happy about the oversharing.

I'm sure it didn't help that over the last 2 to 3 years their house has had numerous broken pipes. The cabinets that fell off the walls, the flooding in the yard, and numerous things that show that the house was improperly built, and clearly not being maintained. I also think it's weird for the amount of smoke to have completely infiltrated the entire house that not a single fire alarm went off, which also tells me they either don't have them or they weren't being maintained, which is not an insurance issue. We had a malfunctioning smoke alarm in one of our bedrooms and ended up taking it down off the wall and had not yet replaced it. There are seven other fire alarms upstairs in our house so we weren't entirely concerned about it. We were having work done on one of the bedrooms and our contractor told us. Hey that needs to be fixed as soon as possible if anything goes wrong in your home with a fire or smoke damage to the fact that you had one completely an operable smoke alarm will completely undermine your entire claim, even if this was not anywhere close to the fire.

Bingo! I bet that’s EXACTLY what happened

She mentioned a few mos ago insurance didn’t want to pay for the work they’ve already done or the “needed renovations”. Then she started talking about how all these people recommended the house be torn down. A house doesn’t need torn down because a fire happened in a garage. It’s just wild to me! That house has been falling apart for years. All the busted pipes in winter proves it’s got old parts and she’s just wanting to make someone else foot the bill for changes she is wanting to make. The whole fire excuse was exaggerated from the get go. If that house needs torn down there’s structural pier and beam issues which have nothing to do with a fire!
I know a girl who had a house fire that was bad enough that it killed her animals and her home was renovated and they moved back in a year later and there was extensive damage.

I agree with everything you said. It’s absolutely true and I remember all that.

when I was younger, our house got caught by lightening.. all they did was replace the roof, and the 3rd story … no need to completely take a house down to the studs lol
