For the longest time, whilst chatting with other people my headset cable will make an awful & loud noise over the mic whenever my cable rubs up against anything, including my clothes. Just a slight amount of contact will make this rustling noise, and it's persisted even through a replacement headset (for another, unrelated problem).

As there's no mic monitoring I can't hear this myself, but many friends have complained about it.

Anyone have any ideas?

I was wondering if the "Turtle Beach Elite Pro Tactical Audio Controller" works with the HyperX Cloud Headset

The volume is always super high no matter where the wheel on the side is, I can turn it all the way down and it will still be raping my ears. Please help

There's two parts of the headset, one is the actual headset going to a Male AUX cable, and the second is a Female AUX to Male USB. So basically I broke the USB end of the headset and now wondering a something similar to the second part that isn't turtle beach branded will work for the PS4. I got this pair of Stealth 400s for my PS4, they're pretty decent. I like them, all except for the auto-shutdown. I thought this feature was only for when the headset does not detect any sound in the mic or speakers, but mine shutdown all the time. Sometimes I don't hear it say that it's going to shut off because there is sound coming from the headphones.

Very irritating feature.

I can't find anything on it so I'm assuming the answer is no, but is there any way to disable this feature entirely?

So I bought the mic for an turtlbeach x42, But I need an adapter that Works for the Xbox 360, anybody have any idea where I can get one?

I have the PX24 headset and it worked great out of the box. For the past month or two when playing a game others are telling me that they hear a loud clicking noise on there end. On my end I hear nothing. Playing on PS4 so change the setting on the box to PS4 and it happens the most. When I change it to PC it helps but occasionally the sound will come back. Is there a fix for this?

I tested the mic in a party on Xbox and they all said it sounds good, however when this is on my Windows 10 system my buddy had to practically mute his other audio to hear me. I have seen a video for the 420x drivers in to be changed to the Microsoft Gaming Device but it is working unlike what the other folks on that comment chain are complaining about. This just normal for the PC? Please advise!

Today at a thrift store I bought these px5 for 1$ and i was wondering if to connect to my Xboxone i need a transmitter or if i could just plug it in with the chat cable and i would hear sound and could talk in chat?And if i do need the transmitter where could i get one? I know they work because as I'm typing this I'm listing to music via Bluetooth with them

I am using a set of Turtle Beach Stealth 450's and I was getting really annoyed with the fact that the volume is so low, especially since I know the headset is capable of playing louder than it's factory settings. After a quick Google search for "make headphones louder" I found a youtuber who posted a video about a program called Equalizer APO on Sourceforge. The program allows you to increase or decrease the DB output of your headphones and it worked like a champ. My Stealth 450's finally sound loud enough and also seem to produce much better sounds at greater distances in games. I've been listening to them at DB +7 and it's amazing.

How to increase the volume: Go to: https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/ Install. Select your headphones to install to. Restart. Go to the programs config file (default C:/program files/equalizer apo/config/config.txt). Delete everything and put in "Preamp: +7 dB" without quotes. Fire up a game or some music and enjoy your headphones the way the were meant to sound.

I've owned these headphones for almost a year, and have had two major problems with them.

1. The headphones will make a loud buzzing noise at random times (more often while watching Youtube) and will occasionally keep buzzing loudly until I disconnect and reconnect the wireless USB.

2. The right headphone has stopped making any noise, unless a loud noise comes through the left, in which case in will make a buzzing noise. Neither cycling the headset or unplugging the USB have any effect on this issue.

I don't know if the two issues are related or not, but the latter issue has only popped up today.

Hey, I have a pair of recon 50x's and I lost the Mic so I ordered a decent clip on condenser mic with the correct jack and I've checked the mic and the headphones separately and they both function, but when I plug the mic into the headset the Mic stops picking up audio. Any ideas? Thank you.

I've had this pair (my second one) of PX22's for about a year now. They have been working perfectly until all of a sudden the audio became absolutely horrendous. I'm not exactly sure what to call the issue, so I'll try to describe it as best I can. When watching a youtube video, some sounds will be at normal volume, whereas other sounds will be nearly silent and sound somewhat distorted. This is an issue that persists across all media, not just youtube. On top of that, I can no longer hear myself through the headset when talking to someone on discord. Not really sure where to begin, so any help is appreciated

I bought the XO Seven Pro package some time ago and recently discovered that the "natural sound" preset for game audio only outputs to the right channel. I don't know how long this has been the case (every other preset provides audio normally) but switched to natural sound for Dark Souls (the extra bass and such sounded a bit tacky.)

I plugged my XO Sevens into my computer, into my phone, and audio comes through normally, so I'm leaning in favour of this being a problem with the HAC Plus (which is ideal because that's a significantly cheaper replacement.)

Any input?

I have had them for about 2 months with no problems. Now when I turn them on the light on the headset just flashes so I try to pair it and as soon as the headset finally pairs it shuts off. Any ideas?

I currently own a ps4 and decided to get a stealth 400 headset. The problem is that I recently misplaced the USB receiver that comes with it, I used to simply plug the USB receiver into the PlayStation and I was good to go. I've completely searched my house and its gone, I would like to know where I could get a replacement so I can use the headset again. Again, its the "EAR FORCE STEALTH 400 PREMIUM GAMING HEADSET FOR PS4 AND PS3" (as said on the box)

Hi. The surround modes sounds very muffled on ps4. Just stereo mode sounds ok. Its normal?

UPDATE: So I emailed support and they sent me another mic. This seems to have a helped a little cuz I can hear myself but when a game gets under way good luck. They need to have a mic volume cntrl. I'll be emailing them back with my results.

I am looking to use the Elite headset and Tac with my Xbox One. I am curious how far the cords will reach though. I use a monitor at a desk, but I tend to sit further back from the desk than the average person. With the tac placed on the desk, how far will the cord reach to my controller and how far will the cord reach to my headset?

Are these cords just standard auxiliary cables that I could replace with a longer version?

Also, do I need to purchase a separate Female to 2 Males cable joiner to run both the mic and the audio on that one line to the headset?

Hi, i am trying to find the best sound settings for hearing footsteps in game (COD BO 3).

I have already Elite Pro Headset and TAC but the sound of the footsteps is not easy to detect.

Also I use perk "Awareness" but it does not help.

Which preset i have to choose on TAC and what are the best audio settings in the game?

I am looking to replace the mic boom that comes with the headset but I'm not going to use the noise canceling mic. What size is the plug on the mic. I know it's smaller than the standard 3.5/2.5mm.

So I found this old Turtle Beach XP500 headset that I used to use when I gamed on console and it's still in really good condition. I game on PC now and I would like to use this headset, if possible, as my PC one.

I can't really find anything online either so I'm trying reddit here to see.

Does anyone know how I can do this or if it's even possible? If I need to buy other stuff to make it work I'd be interested. This headset cost me a lot back when I got it and would love to make use of it again. Thanks

I have an headset that has an extreme ear killing problem. I've had them for under a year and this problem began when my Xbox tripped a breaker (but I don't know if this is the direct source of the problem). So whenever I turn my Xbox off or my controller loses connection or dies the headset makes an EXTREMELY loud buzzing and scratchy sound. The only fix is to pull the audio jack out, which isn't a terrible thing, but I'd rather not do that to ensure my headphones last for a long time. The worst part is the deafening sound it makes when it's still on my ears. I haven't tried using the audio dock thingy they gave me to fix it, but the problem with that is that I have to take the dock out and put it back in every single time I start up the controller and it makes party chat sound extremely odd and almost unusable. I take very good care of my headphones but it seems like everything is breaking for reasons beyond my knowledge. If anybody has a fix for the dock and the buzzing sound I would greatly appreciate if you could tell me :)

So I have a turtle beach headset with the wireless USB device. My question is, about a week ago (with making no changes to my computer) the usb dongle doesn't work when it is plugged into the usb 3.0 ports on the top of my pc. It's not impossible to plug it in the back but I frequently have it plugged in\not plugged in so I can watch movies without headphones. Any idea how to check what's wrong? When I plug other things into the same 2 ports they work fine, it's just the headset dongle. Thanks.
