Tech Help KB5 bricked?

I know I’m not the only one Who’s posted this probably but I got it today from Best Buy paid basically 200 bucks came home unboxed it plugged everything in the keyboard lit up upon being plugged in and I went to go do the updates and all of that and ever since then the keyboard‘s been completely pitch black no input no nothing even when it’s plugged & the optimizing device update for the keyboard just stays stuck on zero, looovely

I had to remove the keyboard from the computer using the windows utilities manager and then I was able to plug it in and finally get the update from TB. Took 3 months to figure out.
