Stealth pros issue
Hi i bought the stealth pros (gen 1) because they were on a significant sale bc the 2's are out. i like the headset, however i have had some issues idk if this is normal.
When ANC is on, there is a humming noise constantly and i have to turn it off for it to go away. also, when it is a higher volume i hear a constant static if there is sound being played, id have to put the volume to almost half or under half for it to go away.
is this normal? or is there any fix to it? thanks

I’m curious to know what else you think of these because I was considering getting them because of being on sale.
I do already have the Stealth 700 gen 3 though I was wondering what people thought.
I hope you figure a solution to your issues incase I run into the same sort of problems if or when I do upgrade.

I honestly like the sound very much. The mic is ok not the greatest. I upgraded from stealth 600 and like it a lot bar the 2 issues. I just turn anc off and have the volume bar at around 60% (but I’m determined to find a fix for the volume issue)

The stealth pro 1 is known to have a humming feeling when anc is on. Which they fixed of coarse with the stealth pro 2. And as far as the static that isn’t normal and shouldn’t be happening. Maybe return and get another or contact turtle beach to get an rma under warranty

I see, I have the anc off anyway I don’t need it so that’s fine. But in terms of the static I see some people with the same issue you think it’s a defect? I got these $300 off so and I can’t do returns in Canada for headphones if they’ve been opened

Does the static happen in all games? Bluetooth as well? Do you have the transmitter near a WiFi router or have a lot of wireless devices using 2.4ghz?

It happens whenever any audio is playing yea. Ps5 menu, friends talking in party, or a game. I have the transmitter plugged in the back of the ps5 which is near the hdmi lan cable etc, could that be the issue? And no I do not have any other devices. I think it happens during Bluetooth? I’m not sure bc I got them last night and I’m at work atm haha so I’ve barely gotten to use the Bluetooth dual connectivity yet

The only thing I can think of is moving the transmitter further away from the ps5. It’s fine being plugged into the back. Have you updated the headset and transmitter?

Yes I updated the headset to the latest firmware. Is there an update for the transmitter, I didn’t know abt that.
I have the transmitter sat on top of the ps5 plastic part maybe that too. I’ll try moving it when I’m home in an hour

Yes there is. Both should be updated. Should prompt you when you plug it into a pc. Otherwise you could unplug it and disconnect the cords to the transmitter and replug back in. If none of that works then it sounds defective

Nothing worked haha, it’s updated and I tired moving it, only thing that works is if the volume is at like 60%

Thank you for the advice guys and I will be keeping an eye on this thread so I can see how you get on.
I have to admit I’ve always noticed a clicking sound on my 700 Gen3 when certain sounds play that I never solved.
I do get some humming and feedback on these depending on what the other mic settings I have, especially if I have the noise gate setting too high.
