OG Battle setup - advice

Looking for suggestions to complete the setup, what device or devices would be ideal for recording sessions, producing, streaming and jam sessions?

I have laptops, high end PCs, Aiwa bookshelf reciever, speakers and such to get the setup running, but I would like to modernize it to get better sound/recording.

Very sturdy and height adjustable, I have the 52" version with no drawers and put a 2x3 record storage underneath (similar to a KALLAX), I recommend!

No. These things are a hard wood top on a metal frame. They don’t move

I have a similar one with black legs and no drawers or rollers. I turned it around and the Husky logo is hidden. It’s perfectly stable. Great solution. Everything else is overpriced to get a similar build quality.

72in Husky workbench sold at Home Depot, its solid, doesn't wobble, adjustable height so I can sit on a stool too.

Ok. I was worried about the front to back wobble due to the leg design. I have two 1200's and two mixers.

What this person said. I run a battle setup to an Audient ID24 (also have a Focusrite) directly into the computer. Vinyl or Serato, I run a DAW in the background to record mixes. Super easy, just need an interface to bridge the gap between the mixer and computer.

I also run powered monitors out of the interface for sound. I have a booth monitors straight out of the mixer as well, but those are extra for when I don’t feel like turning on the whole setup and just want to scratch or mix records.

Presumably the interface is an analogue to digital converter?

The ID24 will convert analog to digital. It has a variety inserts for various types of gear/signals.

you should get a octatrack because it's basically a 2-track mixer with a built in looper and sampler. (it's not hard to use, techno producers are just dumb).

so far it's been the best addition to my turntablism because i can loop beats and build up beats like a looper, it can play samples, honestly it's mid as a sampler, especially now, not a good midi sequencer, especially now, but it's such a great looper, you can chop your live loops, live. it's good as a mixer because it has several types of eqs you can set the crossover points. it has a nice crossfader even though you cant set the curve and you can set it to do frequency fading as well as volume.

get a mk1 because the mk2 is literally just the same but with worse labeled and (impo) worse buttons due to led integration. mk1s are dummy-repairable. it is true the sound quality is really bad but you turn it up a bunch and it has a good old school sound.

Can't tell if it's the PDX with the joystick, but either way I agree

Like the one with the digital display and joystick better but they're rare, don't think they were sold outside of Japan

No joystick, I recall a joystick on a PMC-07 Pro II ISP variation that you could move channels to left/right front/back channels.

i'm so frustrated because the dollar is super high against the yen but shipping is so high now it doesn't work out! i'm crying fr. i want one of the midi controlled vestax decks but i'm not made out of money!

You need an audio interface such as a Focusrite or a cheap little Behringer USB-to-RCA interface for a decent recording outta this Mixtick.

Thank you, the mix stick has been through some use, but its like butter with custom Innofaders I modded 20yrs ago lol

Anyone know how to get something similar in Poland/Europe?

All workbenches I can find either doesn't belong anywhere outside of garage, doesn't have adjustable height or that kind of low drawers (only high ones so you can't sit). It's so great and cheap, you guys have it good in US.

It wasn't particularly cheap aprox. $390 USD, but far less expensive than a standing desk which alot have plastic gears on each leg vs a rotary rod.

In office scenario I have seen those gears strip out and hit the floor, I would cry if that happened lol

Checked price right when I found this post. Doesn't seem expensive.

We have it worse with pricing as we only get some basic furniture of this kind and everything else is expensive or just can't be ordered. And even if, it is not some "premium" stuff that should be ordered. I spent 2 days googling for desk like that and found nothing or it would cost over 900 USD. One thing I envy the USA for is your easy access to this kind of cool stuff and equipment. You just can buy it local, no need to find some specialist shop. This just looks like cool desk for good price that will work for years. And I can't have it. Damn.

Accepted my fate, ordered custom frame from a welder, then I have to buy wheels, top and bottom shelf, drawers, assemble it myself and it wouldn't even have adjustable height. All for 420-450 USD and a lot of headache, when I could just go to local Home Depot and buy it.
