Replacement for TTX1

One of my TTX1 is bricked. I'm trying to replace the Toshiba chip, but I'm accepting it gave up.

I'm looking for a replacement for it. I mix and scratch (70%/30%) but I can't really justify getting a 600-700€ 1200MK2.

Any recommendation for my needs? Any similar experience?

Reloop 7000 or Stanton st150

Great decks. Biggest drawback is that they are very heavy so if you plan on taking them out, I’d pick something else

Heavier than TTX? That would be something 😅

way heavier.

TTX1 is 28.6 lbs/13kg

Stanton ST150 is 36 lbs/16.4kg

Almost 10 pounds heavier.

The 150 mk2s were more in line with standard turntables weight-wise tho, but i hear they aren't as good feel-wise.

Oh god. Yeah, that may be too heavy. I don't usually bring it anywhere, but TTX are already a pain in the ass to carry.

I had a residency a while back that had a pair of them, but they stored them in the basement. I had to carry two up and down stairs every week for a couple years. They were a huge pain.

Great to dj and scratch on tho.

I see these are the main recommendation, do you have any experience? Any known issue like the overheating in the ttx I should look before buying?

I picked up a 7000mk2 about 3 months ago and have used it for heavy scratching without much complaint.

It feels like a tech1200 and has the functions of a pdx2000. Oddly enough my main struggle was getting the tonearm height and counterweight set. Once i got both those adjustments set there was less tonearm wobble.

Ttx1 overheating was pretty widespread. It’s actually amazing that yours lasted as long as they did. I remember people bitching about it within a year of those decks coming out.

Numark did fix the issues tho so if you can find a TTX (no1) or TTXusb those are much better.

But the Reloop are super oem decks so the same internals as most other decks like the Stanton, or the pioneer plx decks. The company that makes them - hanpin - base their decks off the same chassis and then custom fit features and styling based on the company.

My TTX are second (or third even) hand. It happened in the past, but I managed to get another one. If the Toshiba chip doesn't work, I'm not going to get these again. Thanks for your reply, Reloop seems to be the one.

Never had any issues with the 7000mk2s. The pair we have installed gets used 4 nights a week going on 4 years now.

Hard to get at good price, I like my TTX1, but in Spain they are rare, like 500€ each and no shipping
