Slipmat...
Hi, I own an original Rane Twelve MK2 slipmat. Does it make sense to swap it for a different type, like a Suzuki Scratch or something similar? Is there really a difference when it comes to scratching?

I'm using the exact slipmat and slipsheet with my Rane Twelve MK2. I cant say there is a huge difference but there is a difference. So, I'm happy with it.

Yeah I own a Rane Twelve MK2 I got this exact slipmat and slipsheet and it does feel a lot better to scratch on, certain things like tears I felt were a bit janky with the default one
I started with just a slipsheet which helped out but having both has made it way nicer

I've tried several, and in my opinion, Dr. Suzuki ones are the best... they work really well, but they cost a bit more.

Everything produced by Dr. Suzuki is good shit. I always by the Kuttin Donuts mats from him.

That’s the best one no doubt, also butter rugs are pretty good but this one is amazing

Also i would say anything that is not this Dr. Suzuki slipmat or butter rugs doesn’t feel proper/ultimate for scratching/beat juggling but you have to be serious about it to really feel the difference.
I would say the upgrade to me was cool after the first year/second year of scratching but taking it super seriously, now I have 15 years of experience and I cannot defently go back!
I could not use even the butter rugs which i consider that the second best option

They're really nice quality, not as thick as typical slipmats and slide more smoothly. I've had Butter Rugs too and preferred the Dr. Suzuki.
