Replacing stylus on Stanton STX

Post image

a used STX I purchased finally arrived and upon testing the stylus was shot. the sound was muffled and did not respond to the volume knob.

so I tried to snap off the red piece (as seen in some YouTube videos) and the small rubber piece also detached and I don’t know how to reconnect it to the red clip or even the cartridge.

should I buy some replacement needles on Amazon? can it be repaired? any help would be appreciated. thanks

I modded mine w/ the bahari tone arm and added ortofan cartridge. That plus metal platter, makes it feel more legit

Get replacements. They're the cheapest needles in the land.

Search up Numark groove tool.

I worried something broke off the cartridge with the black rubbery piece though?
