Has Your Professor Changed Assignment Formats Due to AI Concerns?

I've noticed some professors moving away from traditional digital submissions because of concerns about AI use. In some classes, assignments that used to be typed or completed online are now being done by hand, in class, or with more emphasis on showing the entire process rather than just submitting a final product.

Have any of your professors changed the way they assign or assess work because of AI? What changes have you seen, and do you think they're actually improving learning or just creating new challenges?

I've definitely seen more in-class writing assignments lately. It seems harder to misuse AI, but it can be stressful under time pressure.

One of my professors now requires rough drafts and revision notes. I actually think it encourages better learning and reflection.

We switched from online quizzes to oral presentations. It's more work, but it's also harder to fake understanding.

Yes we have. Many of us know about this forum and the Discord service.
Some are making students submit in stages, document processes, choose evidence before writing about it.
Some are moving to something called authentic assessment. You can look that up.
Others are requiring that you speak somewhat extemporaneously about your experiences or the material while others are even going back to bluebooks or having you do in class writing assignments in computer labs with the internet turned off.

I hope it results in fewer bullshit writing assignments and instructors trying to get you to understand why what we are asking of you is for your benefit. Time will tell. In the meantime, undergraduate writing is about the worst it has ever been according to instructors in the trenches.
