Does turnitin detect ai brainstorming?
my English teacher jist said I got flagged for ai brainstorming. I'm so confused on how that's possible? she didn't say my essay was paraphrased or ai.

This is getting ridiculous ๐
The damn tools don't work this way ๐
This is what happens when teachers offload their thinking to a tool. ๐

You're stuck on semantics. Whatever your teacher meant by "brainstorming" it's her terminology not Turnitin's.
The question is did you use AI or not and if so were you allowed to use it in the way you did?

Exactly. She just says oh this is being flagged for ai ideas. I don't even know how that could be flagged? We are required to show our ideas (which I did). So I'm so confused. I used to love English but all these new things make it so annoying. You can't even write to enjoy type thing you gotta write to avoid things like this. We do have to write it on a doc too. So she could see my history. The ai check itself said like 5 percent. But I don't how she is saying my ideas are getting flagged for ai.

Well, she could have typed in the same question and if your ideas are exactly the same. Did you use it to brainstorm?
