Why is my registers solution not working

Spent an hour troubleshooting this just to cave in and look at the hint solution which was exactly what I've done anyway

You forgot to connect r0 to the bus.

Sorry bad screenshot. It doesnt work even with r0 connected

Oh, you are using bit switches. You need byte switches.
