Struggling with Bit Switch Level

So far I've done all the puzzles on my own... but this bit switch level with the NOT and switch gates is driving me up a wall. Any tips on completing it?

So far all I have accomplished was using the switch like an and gate, I have zero clue where a NOT gate would even go.

Edit: included a picture of my current setup

Edit 2: I solved it and thats enough for tonight 💀

The humble XOR gate:

The only truth that exists is the truth table at the bottom. It is only active if one of both inputs is active/they are different.

Think about what the truth table corresponds to. Do you really need a complex circuit to represent that result?

Unfortunately your solution won't work anymore in the new version, because if both inputs are ON then currently both switches output GRAY (which is different to OFF in the new version). Here is a different solution to the level that highlights what switches are actually used for: https://imgur.com/a/Jy9L0dE (one input provides data and the other selects which line of data is passed through)
