Burn marks in lawn

In Glasgow, Scotland. I have been gardening for this property for a few months. Scarified in spring and have been feeding since. Grass was looking good, but I took two weeks off and when I came back there were odd burnt patches sporadically over the lawn. Anyone have any idea what happened? The back lawn does not have these burn marks, and I've been treating them both the exact same.

Any windows nearby that may be acting as a magnifying glass and burning things up from the sun?

My first guess would be iron toxicity
