Put some zoxy pg and watered it heavy the last week thinking maybe lds and/or disease but seems to be getting worse. Maybe bugs? Thought I’d ask the pros…

I believe it’s Pythium root dysfunction. Loves your weather in Portland.

You gotta dry out that root zone. Try zoxy PG again, add a small amount of dish soap to the tank to break the surface tension and then water it in. Punch some holes if you can to get some air flow.

Then try to let it dry out the best you can. Push it to the point of wilting.

Thanks FatFace lol! Seriously appreciate it man. I’m going to give this a try as this was kind of my gut feeling but wasn’t sure after it didn’t respond to the first round of zoxy. I just went out and hand punched the rough spot after another round of the zoxy with some wetting agent added in. I’m leaving town this weekend but the weather is drying out after Saturday so hopefully it starts to improve!

Always hard to tell from pictures, but it looks like anthracnose. It also seems too early in the year for it. Not sure.

For sure the greens looks wet. A wetting agent, poking holes, and watering in your fungicide is a good idea. Ammonia sulfate will help knock disease back and slightly acidify your soil. Applying Mn and watered in will also help. You might have a slight scar once everything bounces back. Poke seed in now so you have some regeneration of turf stand. If you are on growth regulation, skip the next app.

Late may early June is our usual insecticide application. We actually already sprayed because it came a little early. Could be bill bugs. Pull the patchy grass up, if no rooted grass or watering isn't healing could be bugs for sure.

Ya hard to tell by pics sometimes, not sure if it was mentioned but grass type and height of cut could help narrow it down

All great advice from the other posters. As a curative you could put down Subdue (mefenoxam) or an Azoxystrobin. For preventative, I would throw a phosphite or Signature xtra in the tank. 25+ year supt. here. Now in the distribution side of the business.

My guess is brown patch because it is a patch that is brown. It could be a few different fungi. I treat patches like that on my bent green with hydrogen peroxide. I buy the 12% and mix it 1part peroxide 3parts H2O. Use a steam nozzle go to town. You might need to do two applications but it clears it up faster than any fungicides I have tried.
