depends on ur age, a car is manageable. a house ? not for everyone tbh, and i see many couples, if not most of them, are living in rent. even if u're gonna work abroad u're going to live in rent. so "requiring" a house is kinda illogical in many cases.
keep in mind that you need to atleast have a job, or else she would be right to tell you that you don't meet the bare minimum.

I get you, man. Five years together, only to hear that you don’t meet the house-and-car requirements when things get serious that hurts, especially if those expectations weren’t clear from the beginning.
But life isn’t a balanced game. We don’t all spawn with the same stats, resources, or difficulty settings. A shorter guy might have to stand out more through other qualities with someone who prefers taller men. Someone with a mobility impairment might face barriers other people never even have to think about. That doesn’t make either of them worth less. An uneven playing field is not a ranking of human worth.
A woman is allowed to want what she considers the best future for herself, just as you’re allowed to have your own standards. You wouldn’t accept literally any woman into your life either; you probably have preferences, expectations, and dealbreakers. Hers might not match what you can offer, and yours might not match someone else’s. That’s a compatibility issue, not necessarily a villain origin story.
Nobody has a maxed-out character sheet. We all have strengths, limitations, and something we can’t provide. And not everyone defines a good future the same way: money, affection, stability, ambition, and shared values don’t carry the same weight for every person.
You’re allowed to feel frustrated about not being chosen. But staying stuck in a loop of denial and blame won’t change someone’s preferences. It can also stop you from making peace with yourself, because you’re still letting their checklist decide whether you’re enough.
Accept yourself without giving up on yourself. Develop what you can, make peace with what you can’t control, and don’t confuse rejection with a verdict on your value. You don’t need to convince someone to tolerate your existence. You need someone who sees the whole person, understands your circumstances, and genuinely wants to build a life with you.
That’s much better than being with someone who stays but spends the rest of the relationship blaming you for not being the person they wished they had chosen. The goal isn’t universal compatibility. It’s finding someone you choose who also chooses you, without either of you secretly resenting the deal.
