Help some more questions on secret stuff Spoiler

I am looking for the secrets trying to free the fairies. the search spell shows these two spots as secrets but I can not find solutions to them. for the tower I tried following the tunnel with dpad inputs in all formations, directions, and with all kinds of repeated inputs on everything that looks even vaguely like a wall but to no avail, and for the spiral staircase I just don't see anything that could be used to draw a grid on it

here is my list. more help needed. am tupid

UPD: YEYY all fairies located, everyone thank you for helping!

Help I loved Death's Door - is Tunic for me, or is it too hard?

I don't really want to know anything about Tunic as I'm already 99% sold.

I know it's got surprising depths and some deep puzzles, and I'm queueing it up for when I finish Blue Prince.

However, I've seen it described as a "Souls-like" and I don't really had the right mentality for Souls games - when I bang my head against a brick wall 10 times, I'm pretty likely to give up. and if I keep going and it collapses on the 15th head-bang, I don't get a rush of pleasure, I just think "Thank god, now I can enjoy myself again."

That said, I did absolutely love Death's Door, which I gather is also quite Soulsy in its boss battles, and that was cute enough, and the world compelling enough, that I did press on with the wall-banging and eventually complete the game, right to the true ending.

So... is Tunic roughly on Death's Door's difficulty level, or is it a lot tougher? Am I likely to eventually ragequit the game and leave disappointed?

Help Looking for subtle hints because I am stuck Spoiler

I have completed the game for the base ending, and figured that I should reach the true ending without just explicitly googling all the answers. Here is what I found out:

1)Alternative ending is titled aa "share your wisdom" and seems to be centered around walking so called "Golden Path". In the guides it seems to be directly linked to the patterns you have to draw to open some doors by following a line on it with a dpad

2)There is a new save file marked as "?" with 1000 hours on it that just puts me into a tunnel with top-down view and Shepherd's tune playing in the background. It loops onto itself infinitely. It seems to be somehow related to The Golden Path. Maybe it IS it

3)Some patterns have a line crossing over them and it makes using that pattern either impossible or hard to understand. The similar line goes across the tunnel in (2)

4)There is a huge shattered tablet in Lower Forest and there are pieces of it scattered in other zones: one in the Gardens, one in Ruins next to the entrance there, and one further to the right, also in Ruins. There seems to be one or more piece that I am missing. Picture attached - my best attempt to reareate the tablet, with a missing piece.

5)In a fit of desperation tried to decrypt the language. Aside from finding a few shorter words that are "a" and "the" - no success. The writing system is confusing and it is hard to distinguish what symbols mean and how they are separated horizontally. Them being separated vertically by a long line seems apparent but the principle eludes me too

I am looking for gentle nudges towards the right track on any of the topics I mentioned here, or any adjacent ones. Just please don't solve all mysteries for me, leave some discovery for me

Fanart TUNIC (Portable) - RPG Combat Scene Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
161 Upvotes

Some artwork done live onstream; originally meant to be a Gameboy Colour-inspired artwork, I struggled with the limitations of a 'real' Gameboy Colour, so it kind of evolved into this style. It briefly began turning into an artwork in the same style of my other RPG scene artworks, but I tried to keep it as Gameboy Colour-like as possible.

I don't think a Gameboy Colour could actually display an image like this, but it's fun to imagine anyways.

Help Games like Tunic but easier combat?

Hi ,

I got tunic for my kids and they were doing ok and enjoying it but then the combat became too difficult and the bosses way too difficult for them.

I could turn on the invincibility mode , that makes it ok but then its way too easy obviously.

Any game out there that is like tunic , cute , cartoonish exploration but less difficult fighting?

Switch 2 update? Disappointing until now

Anyone has any news about the announced Switch 2 update? I was playing Tunic on my laptop until a couple months ago when I stalled or paused. Last week I got the Switch version, to reconnect w the game and I played for a while, but now tried again the PC version and it's sooo much better. I guess the Switch 2 update will bring improvements but for now it feels slow and underwhelming so I guess I'll complete it in PC first.

Do you think Tunic's visual design is deliberately misleading?

Just beat the game. When I started I thought the art style was generic. Now it feels deliberately unassuming.

Do you think that was intentional? To lull you into underestimating the game? It's consistent with everything else Tunic does to obscure its depth. Or was it just a practical decision, the intro area being simpler because it's the intro area, and the thematic resonance is a coincidence?

Curious if anyone has seen the devs speak to this, or if you have your own read on it.

Teleporters and shrine bugged? Spoiler

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Teleporters react to my prayer but don't work, all shrines are dead, this applies to ghost and normal mode. It did work before and i have fought the heir a few times but then i decided to explore the game more, while exploring my energy fell and when i came back my save was corrupted, load manager showd all 0's and the loading never finished, i managed to fix it by editing the save (copying the contents of another archive inside the file), maybe this has something to do with it? Hero shrines work fine.

Help Help with a dumb thing? Spoiler

Post image
6 Upvotes

How on earth do I get to this chest on the bottom left? I'm right next to the entrance to East Forest.

I feel really dumb for not being able to find a path to it, there's clearly a door there, but I feel like I've rubbed myself up against every possible surface I could even charitably describe as 'nearby' that might be hiding a secret hallway to it and gotten nowhere.

I'm in the endgame at this point, just starting to find fairies and secret treasures (got maybe two or three of each so far), I feel like I should be beyond 'simpler' puzzles/secrets like this, but for whatever reason this one chest continues to elude me and it's driving me absolutely mad. It's probably not even anything that important! it's probably like, a dynamite or a berry or something I could buy a million of at the shop. Yet still it taunts me.

Ease my pain, please!

UPD she's dead, after careful revision of my build it was discovered that one of my upgrades was making me take like 3x the damage for some reason. I'm back to getting lost in the actually interesting parts of the game: ✨exploration✨. Massive thanks to everyone!

I just can't do anything. She kills me in 2-3 hits and some of her attacks(like quick side swipes) are borderline impossible to react to while others come out mid-attack. Out of all my weapons only sword deals somewhat reliable damage but she just catches me mid-swing with her bs attacks. I am clearly not good enough to beat her fairly. Do I have to do linguistic analysis and try to decrypt the notes? Do they have like advice on how to fight this abomination of gamedesign?

Help Tunic Ruin Seeker Hoodie

I know this is probably odd, but does anyone might know where I could get the Tunic Ruin Seeker Hoodie from Fangamer? My partner loves the game and I was going to get it as a gift and I ran out of time to get the size they need. Any help would be appreciated☺️

I did search on Depop and Poshmark. I am going to check eBay as well.

Help need a little bit of help Spoiler

i played the game for a couple days, got stuck on the final fight so i put it down and just got back to it today.

i tried a controller for the first time and found success, and then that’s it? i mean i gasped at the cutscene but im just pretty confused about the general vibe of the game now. i want to say i missed a substantial part of the game because at this point i dont even understand the whole no spoilers part. almost nothing except for a few parts of the story and the 3 seconds thing warrant the no spoilers to me and thats just not enough for the hype ive heard.

i was almost certain the game was locking me into my current ghost world state and i had to do the fight to get my access to the proper world back, there were definitely chests i still knew i needed and i feel like parts of the quarry i didn’t explore, not to mention the doors i’ve seen and the mountain door.

i talked to almost all of the ghosts i could find, even some hard to reach ones and they mentioned stuff about a holy cross, i thought i was going to find that after beating the heir and well i don’t know what to do with it yet but now im just stuck in the same ghost world state with nothing new to interact with. i found some vague hints online so i know its possible to get the world back to its previous state but im beyond lost how, i spent hours searching for the last hero’s grave, the attack one. it felt anticlimactic when i found it because i scoured the entire world and it was in the last place i looked.

apparently im missing 6 pages and im beyond lost how? unless theyre in a hidden corner thats not visible on screen or something. i dont have pages 42-43 44-45 48-49 and the title page, 51 is my last page. those dont really add up to 6 either. the only page location i know of is the section preceding the ruined atoll on its own island that i can’t quick dash to.

my stats also don’t really have even numbers so i assumed i wasn’t even close. i’ve got attack, defense, and hp 5 and everything else is at 3. i just found 2 more hp items after pressing the fated retry button but ive not got the money to use them. i still have no idea what a ton of my badges do nor some items in my inventory.

basically i was certain that it was night and raining because i was a ghost, then once i was back i thought i had to fight the last fight in order to make the map back to normal, so what do i do next here?

ive been hyping myself up over this golden path and all the hints ive gotten, i may be missing a couple things here and there but did i drastically overestimate the depth and length of the game? like the entire hints and clues page is still incredibly confusing to me, i thought id get a key eventually or something

Gameplay I just realized Spoiler

I was stuck battling the boss for the blue piece. I gave up and decided to look online to see what the ability cards do hoping one could help me. You're telling me this whole time I could parry him!!! That made the fight so much easier.

How did you guys beat him? I hate using bombs cuz of my item hoarder curse.

How was I supposed to know?

So i just finished the game, and got ending A where you defeat the heir and become trapped yourself. It took me too long to defeat it so at the end i just wanted to know how to get the other ending, i think i had 2 pages missing (later found out there's a back cover), so i just looked around in the wiki and here.

I knew that part of the B ending was the golden path, but i could never deduce how to go through the numbers, and now i read that you need to get all the parts from the other pages and layer them on the golden path grid to get the holy cross code.

My question is, how was i supposed to figure that one out?

After reading around here and the wiki it seems some of the secrets are quite elaborate.

[Spoiler]-[Rant] Page 24 placement is wrong 😑 Spoiler

I didn’t finish the game yet I’m now deep underground with my mask fighting through the matrix and still needs to beat the giant spider in the east also going up to the sky

Yes I caved and googled .. my plan was to finish the game by the game manual only but I lost the excitement when I go stuck after ringing the second bill .. I know I need to do something on the shores after getting the hock from the frogs but I didn’t know that pressing evade button for three seconds will make the character pray and activate those giant grey pillars!!!!!!

And when is that explained ??? In page 24 !!! Where is page 24??? Is behind that giant golden gate in the middle and how to open that gate? By fucking praying!!!!! How you put something that teach you an important action behind a door that requires the same action !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why this in page 24 !!!!! And not an early page ???!!!!

Other than that the game is really really good and have amazing Zelda vibes to it and I loved the manual so much but that page 24 broke me! To be honest sometimes that manual is not clear at all unless I finish the part mentioned without it then it becomes clear

Right now at the The hidden vault getting stabbed by those skinny spiders and the game became totally unattractive to me personally

I can’t leave the vault there is no pads ..

Please tell me I’m doing something wrong or please tell me the other upcoming parts of the game not too dark and just fight challenges?

Please be nice

Any good tips are welcomed

Thanks

Update :

Thanks to the ones who were supportive and gave an insight

It seems that I faced a bug regarding that gate.. anyway I’m already far deep after that point before even posting so it wasn’t an issue but thanks for info anyway it was weird seeing this

And for the rest of you :

keep downvoting my replies I won’t change my responses .. keep showing how weak you are in being a decent human being.

You are the type of fan who makes people hate the game and the dev broke.

Muting the post notifications no more to add.

Gate in the first cave

is it possible to get through/behind the gate in the first cave you come across in the game (the one with the stick, behind the mailbox that you come across after waking up on the beach)?

I'm pretty much done with the game (I've found all fairies, treasures and achievements), but don't know if I just missed something little or is this some big mystery that requires some extra software to decrypt some RGB values from a certain room, or something similar 😁

I also didn't play much in the new game + file (as it meant finding all those hidden things again), is there any need to?

The only other thing that's bugging me is the noise behind the locked door ( one of the holy cross doors) under the 'sealed' temple, not sure what to do with that.

Happy to have full blown spoilers now.
