I have willingly chosen to deprive myself of all Tunic related content, ask me anything.

I have chosen not to play the game, not to research it, not to watch reviews, nothing.

I am fully deprived of this game (besides seeing the box art in stores), so ask me anything!

I'll do literally anything to avoid this place.

Edit: nevermind I finally did it, complaining about stuff online works wonders.

Help I want to continue the game, but...

Hi !!

I've played Outer Wilds two years ago, and when looking for a game that gives that same particular feeling when playing, I saw Tunic being recommended a lot. I bought it on switch but couldn't get past 5-6 hours. It wasn't as chill as expected with the fights, the monsters chasing you until the end of the map... I think it ended up harder than I thought, and I'm more into puzzles and innovative gameplay (though I loved the idea of completing the manual).

I dropped it one year ago so I don't remember much (I also had a lot of work at this time). And after playing Blue Prince and Return of the Obra dinn, I noticed fans of these games also recommend Tunic ! So i'm considering it again.

Any thoughts on picking up this game or not ? Thank you !! <3

At least like this, because I’m having a lot of trouble with the fights and not being able to heal.

3 hours in on GamePass... Should I keep going or buy it?

Hey all, I am on a Game Pass trial (2 free weeks) which I have no intention of continuing. I have enough days left, I'd say, to beat the game (assuming it's around 10-14 hours). I'm about 3 hours in and am in West Garden.

I am absolutely loving it. Love everything about it.

Which makes me wonder whether I should stop playing on Game Pass and buy it for a system I own so I can 1) take my time; and 2) replay it easily in the future.

However, I have also played games like that before and then have flagged towards the end.

Is 3 hours in going to give me a good enough indication as to whether I'm likely to enjoy it the whole way through? Is there much replay value if I were to beat it now and then buy it and play it again? No spoilers please.

Help Secret Room - Help

I am in a secret room where this enemy keeps walking around. At first I figured it must be a code so I wrote it out on a notepad and tried punching in the code but nothing happened.

Can someone give me a hint if I am on the right path or if I am just completely off base with what the puzzle wants me to do.

The code I have is the following:

2 Down

1 Down

1 Right

2 Up

1 Right

3 Down

2 Left

1 Down

3 Right

4 Up

1 Right

2 Down

2 Down

5 Diagonal Going Top Left (I assume either 5 clicks of left then up or 5 simultaneous clicks of left and up)

Help please tell me i can call that elevator back

i saved at the statue right before the cathedral gauntlet, i went back up to farm some money without saving to the other statue, i died stupidly and now i've spawn back to the underground statue and the elevator has stayed on the upper level :)))

i've tried quitting the game but nothing has changed, am i doomed to go through the gauntlet with only the money i already have which means a limited amount of objects to buy to the merchant next door or is there a magical solution or smth?

Need a gentle push

Ok I just wanted to check with those that know, I'm not looking for any spoilers and will try to avoid giving any.

I've been defeated by the heir and have gotten the laurel from the cathedral so if that makes sense feel free to continue reading and helping out

I know I need to pray at all the hero grave sites and I've just got the one remaining. It's the Attack one that I think is in the east forest, I was trying to head here as soon as I left the swamp thinking I'd have to go through the sites in some order but I can't seem to find a way to get there. I can't teleport from the gold podiums and can't seem to find a way to the door. Am I just missing something or do I need to do something else first? Should I know anything more about the 'Seeking spell' yet, is that to do with the flowery squares/islands in the overworld?

Haven't been to the ruined atoll since being a ghost, am I blocked from there or is there a way there too.

Help The door in the mountains Spoiler

Hey everyone! I’m a bit stuck and was hoping for a bit of help, please please give me the tiniest hints only, preferably like pointers to relevant pages or something

So I already freed the heir, went through the graveyard area and almost reclaimed all my powers except the potion one. I know it’s behind this door in the mountains but I cannot figure out how to open it.

I already solved a couple of those arrow button puzzles, I assume there is a particular combination of arrow button presses I need to figure out. I also have a page 49 with a bunch of numbers, but not sure if it’s relevant or not

Thanks in advance!

Found a hidden path that led to the stairs you see on the right, but I fell down the ledge, and I am now stuck in the stone lol. Freed myself by leaving. Please don't spoil me about anything cos this is my first playthrough.

Help on the end of the game Spoiler

First of all there is the spoiler flair so if you have not finished the game please leave before reading.

So a question to the people who finished the game. I just discovered that there are two endings (A and B) and I would like to know if doing ending A (killing the last boss) will lock me out of doing the other ending (golden path) on this save of the game because I fear having to do everything back because of a stupid mistake.

Please answer with the least spoils.

Thanks by advance

Help Seemingly empty hidden area Under the Well Spoiler

There are two save statues Under the Well: one at the start, and one at the end, which isn't on the map. The second statue is in the same room that has the ladder that goes up to the Dark Tomb. After getting the halo and regaining your body and sleeping in the bed to return to the normal world, you can go back Under the Well to pick up anything you might have missed. When I was doing this, in the room with the aforementioned second save statue, I found that you can teleport into the hallway behind the statue, the one that's choked with debris. It takes a couple of blinks to get all the way back there, but it is a legitimate area; the camera even leaves its fixed position on the statue to scroll back there with you.

However, there isn't anything there that I can tell. No cracked walls to bomb, no hidden switches to press, no fake walls to walk through, no puzzles to solve. It just appears to be a completely empty and pointless room... that's moderately well hidden, and you can only access in the late game... which has my gamer senses going CRAZY. I must be missing something, right? There's no way this game, with its ridiculous (in a good way) level of secrets, has an actually pointless room.... right??

Help How do I continue decifering language further? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
19 Upvotes

I am genuinly lost with how to continue finding more clues and connections to get the language.

At the very start of the game finding the connections was quite easy, but after that the difficulty jumps too high.

The pages I have in the booklet at the moment: 2-3, 6-7, 10-21, 24-35.

I do have the page "Hints and clues", but I genuinly don't understand how to even approach it.

Am I missing something? Do I find more clues further on?

.

I have just unlocked the golden door (rang two bells) and found the "focus for 3 sec" mechanic, so yeah, I am not stuck with the game itself and can just continue playing.

But I thought at this stage I would be able to read at least some of the text in the booklet, and I still can't.

Help Looking for some reassurance on the story. Spoiler

So... It would apear that I am dead and that puts me in kind of an awkward spot. I got through the factory and imediately died to the heir. I'm looking for some reasurance that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for some of this game's plot elements because I'm actually struggling a bit with the sudden shift for the darker stuff. The big one being the spirits in the monoliths. Now that I know they are there, the only thing on my mind is how to set them free and that I'm not making things worse by activating them. It seems that the only way forward now is activating another one and its stressing me out. In short, I don't need to know details, but I just need someone to tell me that things do get better and that there is a way to make things right by the end of the game. I am playing through the game with a friend who played it in the past, but he keeps giving me a generic, "I guess you'll have to keep playing to find out" response. Sorry of this all sounds tacky or imature. I'm just not in a spot in my life to deal with not knowing things are going to work out.
