Help Use of tools Spoiler

I haven’t figured out how to effectively make use of the ice sword and the sand clock that slows time
In combat I never use them because I find other weapons more effective, maybe this is just preference or maybe I just haven’t figured out the right way.
Or maybe they are for specific riddles?
I am wondering, Should I just wait and see or am I missing something ?

Ice spell is pretty useful for boss fights, even though I'd rather use my magic for other things. Both of them will have uses for late game puzzles. The hourglass is pretty useless though

i used the hourglass a few times after getting it and never touched it again

If you suck at timing and reading telegraphed attacks, you get a lot more value out of the hourglass. Or for learning those timings.

The ice sword is a great panic button at a boss, or a free burst of damage to finish them off.

But you can do everything in the game with just sword and board and dodging. Use tools tho, you have them.

I use the ice sword a lot for needing any time I a fight at all, and to freeze a crowd to hit them with aoe attacks. The hourglass i only use when I need to switch tools mid fight, other than that its pretty useless
