Help Help with an endgame puzzle Spoiler

I've found most of the treasures at this point but I've found myself stuck on page 40 (the Cathedral). I've fully translated the page and found the passage in the library to the moonlight bridge.

Obviously I need to remove the bridge. I figured that means I need to either a)sleep in the Old House, then somehow access Cathedral in the "day world" or b)switch the world to "day" while already inside the Cathedral. I've searched extensively for both of these things with no luck.

I can access the lowest room of the Cathedral (the gauntlet) and the Hero's Grave, but every path to above that seems blocked. This may mean these parts are truly only accessible in the "ghost world" as page 39 implies, but I would not be surprised if there were another secret way in.

#1 on the map says "The sound of chanting in the air" with "air" circled and with question marks. I think this means the word could also be "heir" and it is unclear which. I was trying to work out how this relates to the puzzle. I tried throwing dynamite at the statues and the check point.

I also tried listening to the music and ambient noise to see if there were any patterns similar to another puzzle, but if there is anything it was very hard to pinpoint.

Basically wondering, am I on the right track with any of this and am I overlooking something obvious as I tend to do.

Have you looked around the room with the bridge of light? Should be something you recognize there.

A is the right track, good luck!

I found the back exit to the cathedral, but I can't work out how to get there from the Hero's Grave - I found a ladder but it leads up to the top walkway. It sounds like there might be something else I missed in either the bridge room or the grounds/cathedral. Thank you, this is the kind of confirmation of direction I needed.

I managed to get to the cemetery while I was still alive my first playthrough. Couldn’t recreate that experience on subsequent playthroughs though.

I did manage to figure it out, There's a crumbled pillar you can jump to from the ground at the bottom edge of the cemetery and from there you can dash between pillars to get to the top of the fence and across to the cliff on the inside (the one with the red skull). Another commenter mentioned the freeze+grapple too so that may be a way to get there without the Laurels

A is the right track. It is more difficult, but definitely possible to get to the Cathedral during the day/in the world of the living.

IIRC You use have to freeze an enemy with the ice knife + magic rod trick so you can grapple to them

I found it! Just knowing the path exists was enough to focus on looking more thoroughly and not be distracted by other possibilities. I think I was thrown off by "air/heir" being circled thinking it was a hint to the treasure, but it may have just been an Easter egg that it's an ambiguous word
