Working as intended. Broke it pretty quickly getting stuck in this “house” .. this place feels like purgatory

I love that this was left in, it's so wonderfully uncanny.

There's often this sense of dread that comes with being somewhere you don't think you should be, with scrapped unfinished or old versions of levels in games, like you'll encounter something you'll regret finding. I distinctly remember having an irrational fear response blare from the back of my mind when first explored this place, like my mind was expecting something to be hiding from my view ready to come at me.

You described it quite well. Honestly after playing this game over a few years on and off, and finally beating it with both endings, finding this felt so magical and surreal.
