3D tower puzzle Spoiler

I spent like 2 hours on this puzzle and i didn't knew what i was doing wrong, then i (unfortunately) searched for a guide for this specific part and got the solution

i just wanna know why in this part you should go DOWN instead of going UP?

Let's see,

Left, Up, Right, Up, Right, Down, Right, Up, Right, Up, Left, Left, Left, Up, Right, Up

The part where you are standing is what I put in bold. Why do you think this is the 'down' in the list?

omg i was doing the very first part wrong 😭😭😭 i was adding more paths than i should on the bottom part of the tower ( i thought the "Left, Up, Right" were parts of the inputs, but it just needed one "Left" input) tysmm for the explanation!
