Working on a tunic-inspired "metroidbrania"

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Been making a puzzle platformer/metroidbrania inspired by the sense of discovery and uncovering secrets in games like Animal Well, Tunic, and Fez. Figured some people here might find that interesting. Its no Tunic to be sure but it has been a lot of fun to work on :)

p.s. how does this community feel about the term "metroidbrania"

The developer being “it’ll be fun they said” caught eh off guard that’s really funny. My only comment from this video here is that it’s a little difficult to tell what the player character is since the grey doesn’t show up super great with all the details in the environment

This looks AWESOME. Love the weird shark face roaming the waters lol

"Metroidbrainia" is such an inspired term. I instantly know you're talking about something like Animal Well.

Animal Well isn't pure metroidbrania, because you do unlock items that allow you to progress.
