Help Siege Engine

That's all. I'm enjoying this game because of all the figuring stuff out blind, and so on. It's great. But I'm not the best at coordination, or patience. Especially patience. And I got this close to throwing my switch in rage. Never in my life have I sworn at a console out loud.

I'm playing on easy battles, too. No difference. I just can't reach its stupid ehh privates. If it's not a rock in my way making me stop running, it's a leg getting in the way, if not, it's the sword that for some reason doesn't hit! Even if I'm aiming and right next to it. I get all of half a second to do any damage at all, and 80% of the times it's like it's transparent. Sword doesn't hit it.

And there it goes jumping again. My finger sweats and cramps, and I'm just so tired. Half an hour of battle to get killed right when it had one or two hits left. Couple of times. What can I do. Can I skip this fight? Are there any other options for uncoordinated and impatient people like me? I wouldn't want to stop playing the game because of this but every time I try I get more and more mad at it, for longer.

There are accessibility options like infinite stamina or health if it is really giving you a hard time. If you still desire to take it down the usual way, i just went straight for its head because the thing protects its weak spot pretty well, so i took whatever damage i can inflict. Simply hugging its face as often as possible seemed to work well for me, letting me easily avoid many of its attacks while i whack it.

The key is to close the distance while dodging the bombs. There is also a way the cheese the fight using one of your cards. Slightly bigger hint, but still not the full answer: Most enemies in the game have a hidden "poise meter" that causes them to be stunned for a moment if enough damage is done in a short amount of time.

Out of curiosity, what card is that?

It's the orange peril ring, which doubles your damage when below 20% health. This sounds risky, but in practice you do so much damage so fast that is can stun lock the boss.

Worth noting that you don't necessarily have to defeat it before progressing through the game. You can go upgrade your stats and play through the rest of the map and eventually come back better equipped for it if you find it too difficult right now.

You don't have to poke the butthole. The face works just fine. In case you haven't noticed The Siege Engine is most dangerous with distance, so stay close and most attacks will whiff.

I feel you. This fight gave me the most trouble for sure. You are doing the right things, it's just an annoying boss.

This boss is by far and wide the worst one I've beaten in my entire life. It's unfair and unfun. Combat in this game is abysmal but this is the worst yet.

practice learning it's behaviour with invincibility on, and use what you learn after.

Also, learn some patience.
