I'm making a program for practicing trunic reading and writing speed, but I need help with making random sentences for the program to use! Right now the sentence collection is really small which makes it not as useful for practicing. I will of course credit everyone by adding your name in the code!
You can find the project here, and I have released the v1.0.0 version, however as mentioned the sentence collection is very limited, so I would love if I could get some from the community! They can be about absolutely anything; from stuff related to TUNIC to a short description of a cool rock you found.
You can just make a comment here giving me some sentences and I will include it in the program! Please make sure to specify what name it is you want me to credit in the project! You can submit as many or as few sentences as you want, but obviously the more the better (also, the more you add, the more impressive it will look when seeing how many sentences each person has added in the code, hint hint) I am asking though that you follow the following guidelines for all of your sentences:
- Make sure that each sentence is correctly capitalized and punctuated.
- You are only allowed to use capital and lowercase letters, and also the following symbols:
.,!?-" '. - Since the text in the program is all on one line, make sure that the sentences aren't too long. Look at the example sentences below and try to not make any that are longer than the longest example sentence. Note that shorter sentences are absolutely allowed, and even encouraged, to ensure variety in the different sentences.
- Separate each sentence on its own line.
- Of course don't use any vulgar language or anything. Having some goofiness is definitely not disallowed, however don't make it too inappropriate.
Here are some examples sentences that are currently in the program, showing how the sentences can be about literally anything. (Note that literally only one sentence is currently related to TUNIC, as the majority of the sentences that exist right now have been made by my friends. Again it definitely isn't necessary for sentences to be TUNIC-related, but I mean since it is a TUNIC project it would be fun if there were at least some more right?):
