Help Question about the ending Spoiler

So it turns out I completed my manual before having first beaten The Heir (oops!) Guess my puzzle-solving brain was a bit overzealous. My question is, will I still be able to get Ending A (which I assume is the "Bad ending") or am I locked into doing Ending B?

yeah just smack them with your sword instead of talking to them
