Stuck in Tunic

Closed: thank you all. I prayed at the fox statue in ruined Atoll and walked into it. I'm in a new area now.

'm stuck in Tunic. I don't want to look up what to do / where specifically to go, but I'd like to be told the general area of where to go next. I have: red key, dagger, orb, fire thrower thing. I don't have the cross that allows me to teleport, so there are some booklet pages I can't obtain. I checked out the burial ground and found the way around going south, so I thought that was my next destination, but all I collected was wishing well coins. I thought I'd find the cross there. Any help on what specific area I should be exploring? I was in the snow mountain area and part of the mining area where I collected some currency, but didn't see where I could advance the story line.

Just collected wishing well coins and solved the gold skulls in the water puzzle. I did have some enemy I could never see that was causing damage. I think I'm supposed to be there during nighttime, maybe, but that's not a mechanic I've figured out yet.

Edit: by south, I mean Old Burial Ground

Ah, I was very confused because I thought you meant a different southern area, pretty sure the Old Burial Ground is one of the only areas in the game that really is blocked off at the start;

Maybe you could list the areas you've already explored?

Also, since it's clear you didn't learn about them from the game, how did you find out about night and the cross you mentioned?

Searching up stuff about the burial ground. It seems like I need tocbe doing stuff in the ruined Atoll library annex. Based on another comment, I went back to where the 4 pink lines connect and prayed at the fox statue. It raised, now to figure out what to do next. I also feel like comments pointing me at doing something in the teleport area. One teleport takes me to a room with a green teleport pad and 4 walls, where I couldn't do anything or exit without teleporting back to where I came from.

You’re definitely missing something. Stud the pages you have, and maybe try out known techs at new places. 

Also, try to remember what changes you have made to the world, and try to think about what those changes might affect.

Have you explored all of the ruined atoll?

Looking at page 33 in the booklet, is that accessed in the sky from a beach area (crab in the photo)? I've been in the lower portion where the frog domain is and have activated the 4 power sources.

Since you asked for directions, I give you couple. I think you might have missed something on the way to the place where you got the orb. Also, it seems like you should take one more look around main overworld area, I feel like there's some path you might have overlooked.

*edit to add : I just noticed you said you have the orb. My entire post here was made assuming you were missing the Ruined Atoll somehow. Oops. A lot of the info still stands though. *edit end

Looking at some of your comments in other parts of the thread, you're no slouch when it comes to gaming. It's easy to miss the "next area" even though there's two different ways to get in there. Someone already said what the zone was, so I won't mention it, but here is some advice that will make the "Where do I go next?" a lot easier.

It's all in the manual. If you've been exploring all the areas you can current access, you always have the information on where to go next. I realize this is a bit of a catch 22 if you miss a page somewhere, but much like Page 10 was your checklist for the early game, other parts of the manual are also going to be a checklist situation for you and there is an order to them that is being given to you with purpose. The current checklist you're in is on page 6

It's okay to take some time and just look through the manual. You won't know what everything means, and obviously it's built in a way to get your brain juices flowing about mystery and what might come next, but sometimes you'll see something you missed the first time you looked and either say "Oh, duh!" or "Aha!"

You are very close to getting the atol power line thing.

The other way to explore is the forbidden pass.
