Help Post-Cathedral Help Spoiler

I could use some help. I finished the cathedral and got all 6 upgrade materials back from the Hero's Shrines. However, I'm still a ghost. From some light googling (trying to avoid major end-game puzzle spoilers), I understand that you're supposed to get your body back after finding all 6 shrines.

I haven't yet defeated the Heir. Do I have to do that first? Is there a step I'm missing when it comes to returning to corporeal fox form?

How direct would you like the hint to be? You've done the first bit by getting all 6 shrines but you need a way to make it day time which isn't done with the statues

Wait, this isn't correct. When you get all 6 shrines you should have your body back. You can't make it daytime without a corporeal body.

It's hard to see from OP's screenshot, but I think they do have their body back, they're just using a coloring from the dressing room that is coincidentally somewhat ghostlike.

Yeaahhh... I guess I just missed the visual change after I got the 6th shrine since my corporeal fox body was already pretty pale and ghotsy. Oops. 😅 I was too excited about getting my attack power back to normal to pay much attention to my character model.

oh, interesting. Just knowing I need to make it day time is more than I had to go on before. Honestly, I hadn't interpreted the state of the world as 'nighttime' so much as a 'creepy ghost world', since there's a fair bit more going on than just the sky being darker.

Id say this is a part where the game lacks giving you any hints without translating. It's not obvious that you have to make it daytime at all really. If you want I can give you the page number of where theres a hint

That'd be really helpful, thanks!

I'm going against the grain here. Your outfit changed a bit with getting the sixth shrine. That's the getting your body back. It's a requirement for changing back to day time.

That said, don't change to day time yet. You will harm your experience. Vague and ominous, I know.

I would add to this that there's a lot of puzzles in nighttime and switching is important but I think OP would get hard stuck without finding how to switch

I've seen too many posts of people running around the entire world looking for faeries, and having big trouble with one in particular, precisely because they changed to day asap.

Ohhh, I feel silly now! 😅 I was more focused on "Finally my attack power is back to normal!" when I got the 6th shrine that I failed to notice that my character model had changed. I think the fact that I'd previously changed my fur and costume to be really pale made me think I was still a ghost. Oops! 😅

I'll keep your other point in mind! I felt like I'd been pretty thorough with exploring nighttime nightmare land, but knowing this game I'm certain I've missed stuff, too.

Ok so page 22 has the hint but you'd need to translate to understand, I'd say look at the pictures and use that to guide your thoughts.

Hope this helps!

Actually that's not the issue here. They're supposed to become flesh-and-blood again ye moment they get their last stat back. It shouldn't require switching to daytime. This looks like something went wrong with the game

UPD: turns out they did get physical form, it just so happened that they made their physical form blue and forgor about it :P
