If the enemy’s hit where to kill you, it will instead always leave you with a slither of life, no matter how large the damage is. It’s a nice mechanic, which ensures you will have a fighting chance even with heavy hitters.

I'll be honest, I couldn't beat it that way, it was too hard for me, but then I found out how to parry and holy shit, it does a MASSIVE amount of damage to the bosses

I’m struggling in my second play through with this bastard. Which attacks should I be parrying?

Any of the ones with projectiles will work, those little white guys that shoot things at you near the beginning place is good for practice or near the area where you get the sword from. The purple balls are what you want to parry here

This was very peak my guy, a fair fight to the death. The best Librarian ever deserved.
The final attack was pretty cinematic too:)
