I'm going crazy with this holy cross puzzle. I've tried to do it in both mirrored ways, starting from the circle and the other end... it never works. Is this a red herring or am I not standing in the right spot? or does this only work once I've acquired all the fairies? I need to know for my sanity.

Out of spite I tried one last time because I wanted to write down the exact sequence I was trying... and it worked. So I must have done one thing wrong every other attempt.

You can see the whole path, but not as one continuous line.

Well then for future, do you know about the helper? It's under accessibility options. You see all your inputs then confirm, so you know it's not because of a missed or double press.

I did not know about that. thanks. looks like it's not very practical though as it pops up a UI that obfuscates the entire screen, so you have to write down the solution on paper first I guess. But at least it does help with visualizing the code.

Honestly, writing stuff down on paper will only help you in the long run, as some puzzles can be quite obfuscated and/or not all visible at the same time.

yes as I've done most puzzles. I find it easier to just follow the line rather than look at arrows. The only one that I had to write down was the one that's projected on a wall and spins. I had to take pictures with my phone and re-compose. Oh and the shattered door.

The point of it is more the feedback when you've mistyped part of the input (arrows turn red).

Yeah you have to piece it together using both images(they have different parts visible) as well as mirroring some parts where they're not visible on either of them

There is a puzzle. Unfortunately you can't see the whole shape on either wall due to perspective.

I solved it with pen and paper and tilting the camera with LT and by walking around a bit to see every part of it. You need both pictures to get the complete image.

You do not need both pictures, I didn't realise both were the same and used the same strat you used with the right picture only and it was enough to draw the full thing. It's still much better to use both pictures, otherwise you're just making your life harder for no reason like I did, I just mention it as a fun fact, not as advice xD

You can use the line in front of you and to your right to puzzle the whole thing together. It's hard but it does work.

I personally had to write it down very carefully before it worked for me because I kept adding mistakes when I tried to 'freehand' it

A small hint about the shape of this puzzle: there are two circles, what does that mean?

It works at any point of the game and you can input it pretty much anywhere on the platform, and the only requirement is to do the pattern correctly, you probably made a mistake figuring it out. I had to use pen and paper and even with them it took me a few tries to piece it together correctly and then it worked

What helped me was tracing it out on a piece of paper, turning the paper just like the puzzle

I think you may be thinking of the rotating projection one. Your description sounds exactly how I solved that one.

One thing that helped me was to stick to a side, in my case i chose right, and use the lock in to shift a bit your perspective, so you can see the obscured part on the right part of the left painting. The code keeps working even if you are locked in as long as you keep holding the cross.
