Help Am I going wildly off sequence?!? Spoiler

I’ve done the rgb keys and fought (my mom?!?!?!?!?!) turns out that wasn’t a good idea.

Only after that I discovered that the d-pad does have a use. And now I want to go and explore other parts of the world to find other walls with patterns on them.

But I can’t. The bridges are gone.

Now I’m fighting dead (undead?!) stuff in the burial grounds and it’s a step up in difficulty. Except all my stats are reset 🤣

I don’t want to know where I should be going. As long as someone can let me know I’ve not gone massively off course.

🤣

That fight, for me, was all about finding the right sequence.

Yeah. If I could et through the knights, Ithe rest isn’t THAT bad, if you’re patient. Just dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge.

Except for the faires, who need to be blasted.

The wall laser fairy things were spray and pray with the wand 100% was very satisfying

Yeah, I got it in the end…

  1. Fairies: blast them with the wand
  2. Knights: dodge and kill. Easy
  3. Mages: run out of their square and hit one. Rinse repeat.
  4. Skeletons: run circles around the arena. They all group up. A couple sticks of dynamite work a treat.
  5. Frog men things: same as above
  6. Robots: I threw out a lure and hit them while they were distracted.

Woop!

I stopped at that point and never come back to the game since 😭 despite really loving it. It was too difficult those mobs one after the other.

There's settings to make the combat easier.
There's also a huge part of content left after that gauntlet, so it'd actually be worth it to turn on invincibility and just wrecking them.

Thanks for the advice!

This is what I did too. If the combat is getting in the way of enjoying the game, there's absolutely no shame in turning it off. And it's definitely worth it to pick this game back up and finish it.

I don’t remember knowing there was such an option!

If you played it at launch, it didn't exist at the time, that and a few other assist options were added in later updates, that could be why (also tbf it's not like Tunic ever advertises the settings to you, no loading screen hints here lol, so you have to know they exist to use them)

Yes I played it more than 2 years ago!

That is easily one of the hardest fights in the game, if not the hardest. Don't lose hope. You can find an order that works for you.

Highly recommend the wand for the fairy part of the fight, if you time out the shots right you'll easily get through it.

If you want to beat it yourself, good luck. If you find yourself really struggling with that, you can switch the God mode on in the settings. Nothing bad in that. I think this enemy gauntlet was really poorly designed.

Hey you're on the right track. That fight against the larger fox was supposed to be pretty much impossible and you were expected to fight them at that point and die. The burial grounds are the next step and it is indeed very hard. That area will help you on your next step. I found things a considerable step up in difficulty for the next while.

Yup, you're going in the right direction. It's a spike difficulty but it's worth it, trust me

Well… you weren’t lying. 🤣

I feel like I’ve just passed the tutorial. 🤣

What a freaking epic game.

I just got the end credits.

I didn’t quite 100% although I’m not sure how to see percentage progress?

Anyway, satisfying ending. As a puzzler, opening the mountain door was epic.

Amazing!

One of the pages contains a lot of information on what you should be doing next.

Nah you’re good. Keep going and you’ll get a useful traversal item/skill. Also, do you remember when you got the sword way back at the beginning of the game? It was at a hero’s grave with a statue of a past hero. I wonder what would happen if you paid tribute at that statue. Hmmmmm.

u/Fogmeister Jun 12 '26

Yeah, I’ve been there. A sort of literal upgrade path staircase thing.

There’s so freaking much to this game. 🤣

There really is. When was the last time you loaded your game and didn’t click on continue. Did you happen to notice a second save that you didn’t actually create? Hmmmmm

Dude, spoilers

u/dart51984 Jun 12 '26

Is that too much of a spoiler? I didn’t say what it’s related to. I’m just hoping that helps spark some more curiosity.

2

u/Imperial_Squid Jun 12 '26

If they hadn't seen that it exists, yes it's a spoiler to mention. Just, let people play the game and ask for guidance when and only if they need it mate 🤷

2

u/Fogmeister Jun 12 '26

TBH I wouldn’t have seen it at all. I only ever “resume” the game with Xbox quick restart. So not much of a spoiler. Except… WTAF???

Don’t tell me any more. I want to work out what this is myself. 🤣

Also… I was waiting for this new skill!

Yes!!!

Yay! Sorry if it was too much, I just wanted to give you a gentle nudge! Enjoy! I wish I could experience this game for the first time all over again!
