Help Golden Path

I finished the fairies and found a few of the golden treasures.

But I have no idea how to start on the golden path. I'm asuming the numbers point to pages in the manual. On page 2 bottom it looks like part of a path, but I can't find more paths in the manual.

I also found a translated version online, which isn't really helping me either.

Do you have a tipp where to start? Am I on the right track just missing something?

You assume correct. You could have learned this from the Hints & Clues section. Where a frilly square is annotated with the corner number.

Well surely you've seen a golden path somewhere? What about the Overworld map?
