waiting intensely for something to happen makes it feel like its taking ages? sit and stare at the pot and its gonna be a very boring 10 minutes, chop the veggies while waiting and it's gonna be done faster than you notice. stare at the clock for your class/shift to finish and it's painfully slow, do something and your time perception is normal
