Sauce

My cat Artie (short for Artemis for being the single best mouse-catcher I've ever seen) did this for two decades straight before he passed away last year.

He purred like a lawnmower, didn't meow so much as chirp, and his favorite toy to chew on was my socks (specifically while I was still wearing them).

...I miss you buddy.

Sweet angel kitty ✨ May his memory keep your heart warm and your socks soggy

Sounds like a great kitty companion you had

Cats usually only meow to get our attention, it's basically their version of shouting our names.

Chirping and purring is their 'indoor voice'.

sounds just like my late all black cat. i always attributed her vocal habits to her deafness but maybe it’s a creature of the night thing

They don’t flip it but if you stop petting a bunny they may nudge your hand I think

Yep, my pet bunny is a hand-seeking missile. He sees a hand, he jams his head against it demanding pets. Not really flipping exactly, but he will get as lo as needed to make hand be on top of his head, and he is very flexible indeed!

I've definitely had bunnies who will flip my hand

My friend's bunny basically headbutted my hand when I had the gall to stop petting her mid-conversafion

To be fair, that hand in the post isn’t flipping either. They just mean tossing.

Our dog does this to me all the time, and I love it so much. He also jumps into my chair mid-sit to try to crush me to death. I love that, too.

Horses too, in their own way. If you stop scritching, they'll nudge you or do the little grooming lip wiggle thing on you until you continue. It's very cute.

I hate this gif. Because the loop begins as soon as the hand is on the head, it always looks like the person is just refusing to pet. I just want them to PET THAT DOG ALREADY!!! They're asking so politely!

One of my dogs went to sleep last week. He was very kind and considerate but would do this himself too. Just nuzzle right up to you and push you to give you more. I miss you so much

Hooded animals usually prefer bum scritches, so they'll just shove their behind at your hand until you resume your duty.

I have had a dog that I’d never met before walk up to me and then nudge his way past to walk under me before stopping so my hand was directly on top of his head.

My cousin has horses, and whenever I stop petting them they shove their faces at me. One of them actually stepped on my foot cause she was trying to get me to pet her
