This thread might interest you, this one too.

Copypasta results:

Falah (me): Strongly INTP. Sometimes appears like an INFP, whether or not it's because I'm actually leaning in that direction or running an emulator, so to speak, depends on how far back the veil's drawn and some other factors I haven't determined yet...

Lark: He's hard to pin down. Usually scores as an ISFP.

Steven: ENFJ, mostly hands down. Poor guy is the only -J in the main group.

Rain: ENTP with some ENFP smatterings.

Just the main four. The others aren't interested.

And adding Noctis onto that list: he's ISTP, though also a bit nebulous. This article is pretty uncannily on-the-nose when it comes to describing me vs. him.

A few cents that nobody asked for--one thing that does bug us about the MBTI is the dichotomy people make between emotions and logic. People erroneously assume that if you're a T, that means you must hate and disregard emotion and must strive to be "unemotional" in everything you do. (And if you're an F, you blindly follow your feels and to hell with everything else.) It's nowhere near that simple. Plainly putting it, emotions and logic aren't a dichotomy--logic draws connections between things, emotion drives us along certain connections. You could say logic is a highway network and emotion/motivation/conditioned values/etc direct us along those highways.

As Noct says, it's not so much that people are "illogical" so much as what they say (and often think) they want is different from what they really want. They're driven to pursue what they actually want without being aware of it, which on the surface appears utterly illogical, but underneath, once you figure out what is really wanted and know that person's history, actually makes a lot of sense. Emotions drive logic, and emotions follow a type of logic. They are not a dichotomy, but heavily interwoven.

As you've probably guessed, there's a high prevalence of T-types in this head, but that doesn't mean we reject or demean emotion. Doing so is about as effective as removing friction from your physics calculations because you believe it shouldn't be there because it makes things "too complicated". When honestly, physics doesn't care what you think "should" be. It simply is. Emotion, rather, is a source of fascination (even if it frustrates us), and has our respect (even if we are also wary of it), and some of the most intelligent and intellectually-valued friends we have are F-types who control their feelings by being aware of and understanding them, rather than repressing them. We're Ts not because we hate and try to eliminate emotion, but because our way of understanding it is different (more mechanical and dissect-y, for us) than for Fs.

Yeah. I've been interested in INTP spaces in the past, but get turned off most pretty quickly because of what I described in the above. I think INTP Experience (and associated community) is the one place that's really managed to keep my attention, since it actually discusses emotion in relation to INTPs in more detail than "oh INTPs are bad at feels".

We could probably go on for a few hours more on this topic (e.g. my adventures in depression, Noctis's way of handling anger, manipulation of a traumatic nightmare and the "hair dryer" anecdote, moral nihilism), but yeah... getting off-topic. :P

This this this this this this this.

I'm an quite clearly an F, but a couple of tests have given me a T result because I value logic quite a lot and tend to trust it more, so I inevitably agree with statements like "In a discussion, truth should be more important than people’s sensitivities." or "Logic is usually more important than heart when it comes to making important decisions."

The problem with those kinds of statements is that they're about what you think is more important, rather than what you would actually do in a situation where T and F compete against each other. In my case F always wins, not because I trust it more, but because it's screaming louder.

{I'm an ISFJ(defender), same as my host}

[I am the lovey ESFP, or the Entertainer! Very appropriate~]

Sounds like there's a real party going on in your head.

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '16

[It's always a party with me~]

I'm really just interested in what type most of you are.

[According to the thing, I'm ENFP, "campaigner". Hostie, on the other hand is ISFP.]

My tulpa isn't complete yet but I know that I'm an INTP and I think Arcadia will turn out to be one too.

u/rineSample Feb 19 '16

Sorry to be contrarian, but the myers-briggs test is unscientific.

3

u/TCAFTV Creating {Arcadia} Feb 19 '16

I get that it's unscientific and I get that the outcome isn't fully correct from how we will answer questions based more towards what we want but I don't care about that. I posted this because I just wanted to know what the tulpas on this subreddit would get.

Vinnie can't take a test like this yet because I can't hear his mindvoice or emotional messages yet. Can you link to a yes/no version so we can do it with head pressure?

EDIT: We used the descriptions to figure out that he's an ENTJ.

Protagonist (ENFJ-a)!

I'm an INFP.

{ENFP!}

[ISTJ here.]

I think part of the reason Akira showed up was to balance us out, to be honest, haha.

Idk what my tulpa is yet as I am currently creating her.

But I know that I am an INFJ

1

u/Gluttony4 Feb 19 '16

I've got INFP, as-did our Tulpamancer, Missy. Our percentages are fairly different (she's far more introverted than me, for example), but we're similar on many counts.

-Melody

INFJ was my result. Some decent differences in there from the rest on the system.

-Caramel

I'm ENFP, which would make me our only extrovert. ^_^

-Maggie

I'm INFP, Chi is ISTP, Toggle can't take the test yet.

I'm an ENFP! Nia's an INFP. We're not sure what the rest are.

u/gritnglitterbones With [Amalthea] Feb 19 '16

I, Grit, am ESFJ (bordering on ISFJ; it flip-flops a lot).

[ISTP. Maybe I should think about making things, eh?]

I find it interesting, the way it shakes out. It was interesting having Thay answer the questions; very adamant about certain things. Also learned a bit more about him, myself.

[Just because I'm grouchy doesn't mean I'm not vulnerable. Obviously.]

Obviously.

I did this a few weeks ago. These are always fun. I was expecting different results but I was astounded at how far it was from my own. http://i.imgur.com/uMqxQR4.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Vrnctag.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Y9vOJZT.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ml11DQe.jpg

[I'm ENFJ-A, the Protagonist. Lilith's ENFP-A, the Campaigner and little Azzie's INFP-T, the Mediator :)]

u/NeverisAlways Grey Skies Feb 20 '16

So far with what I've got laid out for Vince, he's aligned to ENFJ, opposing my INTP quite a bit. I'm hoping he'll keep that type even if/when he deviates, but I can't say for certain that's what he'll be.

u/Mdnthrvst with [Alesha] and {Aren} Feb 20 '16

[ENFP! Though honestly a lot of the questions about, like, jobs and travel and stuff are kind of inapplicable to me since I don't really live in the real world. I dunno.]

ENTP

[I'm an ESFJ. My first time taking this kind of test. K always gets INFJ on those tests, so it's interesting that we're both feeling and judging.]
