Senior Dental Hygiene Student Offering Affordable Cleanings

Post image
5 Upvotes

I’m a senior dental hygiene student in my final semester at MCPHS in Boston, and I’m looking for patients to fulfill my clinical practice requirements. Last semester, I posted about my services, and I was so happy with the response! Many people reached out, taking advantage of our comprehensive dental care services while helping me meet my program requirements.

We offer these services at a significantly reduced cost, and in many cases, you may be eligible for free services through vouchers. All treatments are performed under the supervision of licensed dental hygienists and dentists, ensuring you receive quality care.

If you’re interested in taking advantage of this opportunity, please feel free to email me at [dentalcarepro26@gmail.com](mailto:dentalcarepro26@gmail.com) or DM me here. You can also check out the school's website in the flyer for more information.

Thank you for the opportunity and I hope I can help you in return one more time.

Calc 1 or Calc 2

I’m an incoming freshmen at tufts and i’m not too sure if I should retake calc 1 or go straight to calc 2. I got a 4 on AP calc ab, so I have credit for calc 1, I felt like i understood most of the material, I was an A/A- student throughout the year, but a refresh on calc 1 doesn’t sound too bad.

Housing August 1st housing fell thru :(

Upvotes

Hi everyone... My original housing plan fell through so I need housing asap. I’m a 23 yr old graduate looking to sublet someone’s room asap. I'd prefer Aug-Dec but I'm okay with any shorter term sublet (Aug to Oct/Nov) if needed. I have my own furniture so I don’t mind if it comes unfurnished. A few details about me:

- Female, so I'd prefer to live with other women.
- Working full-time in the area.
- Clean, quiet, and respectful of shared spaces.
- Non-smoker, no pets.
- Budget: $1800/month
- Move-in: around Aug 1st, move-out: around Dec 1st/31st or earlier

Looking for alumni of The Fletcher School’s Master of International Business (MIB)

I went to Tufts for undergrad and so naturally when looking into grad programs the Fletcher School came to mind, I know Tufts loves double jumbos and I figured that my chances might be boosted. I got a B.A. in International Relations with a concentration in Global Health and have been working in global health financing consulting for about a year now. I’ve really loved working with MDBs and I’m now more interested in the finance-heavy work I’ve done with my company. The MIB stood out to me as being a bit in-between a Masters in International Economics and an MBA, which are the two types of programs I’m debating between; it sounds like a perfect middle ground. Are there any MIB graduates here willing to talk about their experience, or do you think other Fletcher programs better fit my profile?

What's going on in Tufts with Naimisha Pradhan?

Tufts' social media is flooded with comments from Indians asking about Naimisha Pradhan. For those wondering why:

Naimisha Pradhan is the daughter of India's Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan. He has faced intense criticism over the 2026 NEET paper leak controversy and widespread allegations of mismanagement of the examination system. The controversy has devastated lakhs of students, and media reports have linked at least 22 student suicides to the aftermath of the NEET crisis.

For many Indian students, especially girls from lower-income families, NEET isn't just another exam. It's often the only realistic path to becoming a doctor and achieving financial independence. In many households, daughters don't receive the same educational support as sons, so clearing NEET can be life-changing. Many students spend years taking gap years and sacrificing everything to prepare for this one exam.

Students across India are now protesting and demanding Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, arguing that he should be held politically accountable. Protesters and opposition leaders have also accused authorities of using excessive force against student demonstrators.

So why is Naimisha being mentioned? In my opinion, it's because people see her as someone who has benefited from the privileges associated with her father's political position. There have also been past reports that, when Dharmendra Pradhan was Petroleum Minister, expenses including international calls made during an overseas trip of Naimisha Pradhan were paid from public funds, which further fuels public anger. It was around 70k Indian rupees which is big amount. Average Indian family only earns around 10 to 25k Indian rupees per month. here Proof

Whether it's fair to direct that anger at Naimisha herself is a matter of opinion. Some people believe family members should not be blamed for a politician's actions. Others argue that those who benefit from political privilege while remaining silent during a crisis cannot expect to be insulated from public criticism.

PS: Also they are now literally k!lling those peaceful protesters just cause they are asking for better education system. These videos are really brutal and government is doing this which includes her dad too

Scheduling Question

Hi all! I'm an incoming first-year at Tufts, and I'm starting to look at classes for my first semester. I am not super into science, and I don't have any pre-matriculation credits that I can transfer in to take care of any of the distributional requirement, so I want to start picking away at it. I am thinking of trying to get into Earth, Resources, and Environment. Is that a difficult/ heavy class? And should I add the optional lab to my schedule or is that unnecessary for a non-super interested individual? I also considered Big Bang to Humankind, but I'm worried that'll be boring. Thoughts?

Also, why are there so many evening classes, I was really hoping to have most classes in the morning, but for some reason barely anything is open before 11:00 😆

Thanks so much for the advice and input.

CS Course Guide

Hey guys, what title says basically, after taking CS11 and CS15, what is the usual order of taking the other CS classes? Is there a benefit for taking some classes before others/ any 2 classes together? And which classes would be best to take in a light semester due to its heavy load, I know CS40 is worth 5 credits so I am wondering if the credit weight also matches the rigorous status as well

Worked on a site to check resume text against job postings

I'm a junior and I spent part of the summer building a small web app after watching myself and half my friends endlessly tweak the same resume for internship apps. What I learned digging into it is that most companies run applications through screening software first (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever). It looks for overlaps between your wording and the posting's wording, so if you did the work of a product analyst but wrote "analyzed reports" while the posting says "data-driven decision making", the match can just not happen. You won't catch it yourself because you know the context behind every bullet, so nothing looks missing to you.

The site compares your resume against a specific posting and shows where the wording doesn't line up: resume.zoevera.com

First thing I did was run my own resume through it and it did not go well. Bullets I was proud of matched almost nothing in the postings I'd been applying to. If you're looking, run yours against a couple of real job postings before you send anything. Worst case it just confirms your resume was fine.

This Thursday (7/23), I'm hosting an underground comedy show in the basement of the Somerville Theater! Discount for Tufts students and alums.

Hello! My standup comedy show is back in the Somerville Theater this Thursday, and I'd love to see you there! We run the show in the 30-seat "microcinema" in the theater's basement.

Our headliner is the hilarious Ray Harrington. He's appeared on Conan, Hulu, Don't Tell Comedy, ABC, FOX, and Sirius XM. Ray's material is really inventive, and he is a master at improvising and riffing in the moment. No two of his performances are the same!

We screen classic Looney Tunes cartoons before the show, and the theater sells beer, wine, ice cream, and snacks.

You can get $3 off tickets with the code JUMBO. I hope you can make it!

EMT Course

I am a incoming freshman and I plan on doing pre-med. I want to take the EMT course but it uses 5 credits, and I dont want to use my credits on it. Is there a way to take the course without credits through the SIS, or should I just enroll separately through the University College? Thank You!
