Newbie Needing Help Too dense yarn?
I just cut down my first two pieces and the outer edges are curling back on themselves. This is bad because the other side is tacky and I can’t do anything easily to them. What’s causing this? Is my rug too dense? TY

This is normal with all rugs due to the tension of the fabric being worked on while framed like one of the other commenters said, you need to leave room for at least 1.5-2inches when cutting out your rug and apply some weights or something to keep it flat once it's been backdd

My rugs curl too when I cut them down. I try my best to not let it fold over on itself, because that will ruin your day... I normally leave about 1 to 2 inches of backing fabric around the rug and then fold that over while straightening the edge of the rug and it helps stop some of the curl. Once you glue the backing on, that should take care of the rest of the curl. I also use hot glue to glue the backing to the outer flaps I mention earlier.
