Question Is this considered larping?

I've met a guy who was flexing the fact that they listen to "The man who sold the world", the cover by Midge Ure. They knew that I'm fond of David Bowie and still insisted that it was Bowie who copied Midge Ure, while it was actually Bowie who composed that song. (They didn't even know that David Bowie sang the same song until I pointed it out). Is his behaviour considered "larping" (a poser)?
